To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaThe street noise can be a little loud, which is to be expected in NYC, but even on level 19 (one of the top levels) it was a little noisy (Note- I am a person who is bothered by noise though, my wife didn't mind it).
The friendliest staff I encountered during my multiple hotel stay in NYC, lovely people. Great central location to Soho, Nolita, Little Italy

Branded "Sheraton" which in Australia means something, this was a very ordinary hotel room. But, for New York it was spacious.

We came to check in at 3, the stated check in time, & were told to come back in 30 min cause our specific rm wasn’t ready. We kept checking in to desk & just kept being told it wasn’t ready! 2 hrs later, they offered another rm just so we could get ready for our evening event. The lady at the desk, the one who always sits in a chair, was rude & acted like it was our fault we needed a room to get ready in, & actually lied telling us our specific rm wasn’t ready cause it ALWAYS gets a 4pm check OUT! ALSO, told us if we check in & briefly use another rm to get ready in, we would not get the original rm w a view that we paid for in advance! She should be demoted! Terrible customer service. The other employees were great.
The club level was a nice view. The housekeeping was great. The location was perfect. The bellmen were nice & helpful.

United States of AmericaThe front desk seems to get overwhelmed and not answer the phone or puts you on hold. Happened multiple times. The room door looks like it’s been jimmied a few times and the card sensors are taped on the elevator and some doors. They seem to come off easy which made me cautious about the security of the hotel.
The room is a little bigger than most NYC hotels. House keeping is great. TIP THEM, they work hard and follow through. Asked for a room with a view and front desk was accommodating. Great service coming and going.

Saudi Arabiawe requested an upper level room, but they told us that it was not available that time, and it would be at first come and first served basis. the room was not exactly the same which was shown in the picture. the receptionist told us that we booked through booking.com, it is not guaranteed that to get same as picture. so booking.com should give the same picture as the room. after a 30 hours journey it was the first day of us in NY, also USA. our first impression wasn’t good. they agreed to change room the next day but as we had other program we decided not to change. it was bit upsetting for us.
cleanliness it is near to chinatown, there are gift shops nearby, gifts are available at lower rate. the canal street subway station is very near. 2 mins walking from the property. there is a halal cart in front of the post office, reasonable price and tasty.
