The staff was really just not nice. They do not try to go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and make sure you are enjoying your stay. Hospitality is definitely not their strength, unfortunately.

Great room, a great bed, and a great location. I really enjoyed the room we got, it did not feel like a shoebox, which is very nice when you are in NYC. They also have an amazing shower!

The location is excellent. Rooms design is outstanding, modern, and functional. Amenities and extras features in rooms are great. Extensive mini-bar with a large variety of products. Close to iconic places like Russ & Daughters or Katz. With a short walk, you can get Shoho, Noho, Litlle Italy, Chinatown, Bowery, and West Village.

the property failed to mention our room would be next to the night club in the hotel. The music was extremely loud and completely unnecessary. Hotel Indigo has Mr. Purple on an entirely different floor than their night club. There should not be any rooms that close to an extremely loud club.

Very thin walls. Was awoken by my neighbor's sexual encounters which I normally wouldn't mind if I didn't have my kids with me. Can hear their Italian conversation since io parlo Italiano un poco. Location a bit out of the way from main city attractions and rather pricey for 2 adults and one child.

Spacious room size and comfy beds. Good wifi speeds and cable TV. Fast checking in and out. Good hot and cold water. Had a mini ref which I used for some food. Did not use the minibar.

it doesn’t really fit the Thompson brand. good location, good price. not friendly staff in fact check in was poor. not welcoming, no description of hotel facilities or interest if we had been to NY and offer suggestions. rooms aren’t sound proof either both sides of us super noisey and street noise also. that dud t bother us but if you want quiet don’t stay here.

East Village has a lot of bars and restaurants so it can be loud at night. I bet other hotels in area are just as loud. I sleep with earplugs regularly so I slept just fine. The price was high. Apparently NYC is a very popular destination in December. Our room ended up being about $550 a night including the resort fee and taxes. But I did look very hard for cheaper comparable hotels and everything was about the same.

This hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants and bars within blocks. We were very impressed with how modern the hotel looked. The walk in shower was amazing! The beds were quite low but very comfortable. Considering it’s NYC, I thought the room was spacious. The front desk staff was very friendly. We rented a car and we were able to find meter parking right on Allen (Saturday evening was a little harder to find a spot, but Sunday was free!).

I've been staying at this hotel for over a decade, and have always returned because of the level of service. Unfortunately post-covid things have slipped a little, the have done away with doormen, which is fine, but when struggling with heavy bags a little assistance is appreciated. The desk staff all feel very new and in some cases their customer service is shall we say, underwhelming. Hotel is showing its age a little in places too.

The hotel is well appointed with very good sized rooms, which is rare for NYC.

Very noisy, there is a nightclub in the building that is open until 3am and its a very busy street of sirens and honking. If you travel outside of the summer season when the pool area and rooftop is shut, there is much less attraction to this hotel really as there are no other facilities.

No US Open on TV. crazy in NY to not have open available to guests. also pool closed at 7 on weekend and 5 pm during week. staying at hotel for pool and closing that early a disappointment.

The air con in the rooms was really loud which was annoying as we stayed during a really hot week. Also worth noting that it’s definitely a party hotel, which is really fun but if you’re planning an early night or have an early start during your trip you’ll definitely hear the club!

Location was amazing, so many great food and bar spots all around and was great to have a pool, although a shame that it lost the sun so early in the afternoon
