Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe didn’t have hot water two days running which was really annoying as it delayed our plans for the day. For the price we paid for the room, this was majorly inconvenient
The door staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful….really really excellent. The diner was also great

BrazilNot being informed in advance about the “security” fee on the first day of stay. It was a particular case because I always use a debit card, anyway the charge was debited. I wonder if I had the opportunity to choose the card to charge this problem would never happen.
The bed was VERY confortable and the cortesy of the associates was amazing.

United States of AmericaThe DJ music in the lounge bar is terrible. It's basically banger house music...no sophistication. You should go across the street to Little Ways and listen to their playlist...that's what you need....and everyone there is young too.

United KingdomOur age makes seeing things in the low light more difficult. Almost impossible to see the floor buttons in the lift.
This is our sixth visit and it lived up to our expectations. Hotel is a little tired but still works well.

United States of AmericaAt the suggestion of your staff while we had a beverage before going out for dinner, we were VERY much looking forward to listening to live jazz after. HOWEVER, even as a hotel guest, we were denied entrance by not so friendly doormen to the the venue .. What? Not cool. It's their loss.
Room was superb! Comfortable. Staff friendly. Great place.

AndorraIt is located next to a busy intersection, and the rooms are not isolated to the outside sound, which makes the rooms quite noisy, especially considering that new yorkers love to toot their horns!
The hotel is super cool, and located really well right at the edge of SoHo, as a bonus this is a hot spot for the locals where the bar and the club become quite the spot over the weekends. The staff is friendly, the design is cool and the location is great. Also, the bars and restaurants are great, albeit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for, which is great.

United KingdomSome milkshake shortage in the diner!
All the aesthetic details in the hotel, everything is oversized and feels luxurious. Our room whilst small was smart and a huge window with a great view to watch New York life. The diner is great as we are a family so worked well for the kids vs the more formal restaurants. Staff low key that’s their vibe. Housekeeping were super helpful with our heating!

SwitzerlandThe only downside was the bar. I loved the bar but it is clearly set up for locals, especially at night. They do not take into consideration if you stay at the hotel. Lots of reserved tables for regulars. Some of the staff had attitude. As someone who lived in downtown Manhattan for 18 years and was returning to NYC from Europe to see friends, I found this annoying and so typically snobbish. The rooms were clean but it was very annoying when I put a do not disturb sign on my door and maids would ask me if I wanted my room clean. I do not need my room clean every day. If I put that I don't want it clean, leave me alone. There was construction at odd hours where my room was located. Obviously not controllable by the hotel but I had the feeling that the hotel was under occupied, so I could have been in a better location with less noise. I understand that I was not paying top rate... this goes with the territory. But still, for the time of year, i spent a good amount of money to stay at the hotel.
It is a great hotel with nice rooms. The room was big for NYC. The location is fantastic.

FranceWe think you should quadruple glaze the windows. Very noisy in comparison to other hotels in New York. This is the reason comfort was rated as indicated. Not sure if you're restricted by building regulations but, you could add to interior without affecting exterior look.
Rooms spacious, wonderful staff, great location. Great attention to the fact it was our anniversary. We had a blast at the New Year's masquerade ball and Omar was wonderful. We love the brand!
