To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaBoth Friday and Saturday mornings we woke up to no power in the room and had to call down via my cell phone to let them know of the issue due to the phone in the room not even working properly.
Loved the mini fridge and microwave in the room and that it was fairly close to NRG for my father's and I rodeo shifts we had.

CanadaThe rooms were very outdated. They did not supply you with pillow cases They expected you to sleep on the shams that were with the bed spread not knowing when they had been changed. I went to the office to ask for pillow cases and I was told they didn’t have any and was given 2 more shams Upon changing the shams I saw the pillows were very stained . Yuck !! The pullout couch also had stains on it too. It was a low budget hotel but I didn’t think it was too much to have an actual pillow case . I will not ever be returning .

MexicoThe only downfall is that they need to look into getting shampoo, conditioner and body wash built in the tubs as this will help a lot of guests in the future.
The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The price was a great deal in my opinion. I loved the view and how the staff was accommodating.

This is a no frills motel located near NRG Stadium and the Texas Medical Center. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable and met my needs for a short stay.

United States of AmericaThe room was clean enough to stay but I did find that the floors felt a little gritty, behind the toilet and in corners of the bathroom area was dirt and hair, the bathtub drain had hair in it and the corner of a shampoo packet, and upon leaving we were double checking to make sure we didn't forget anything and we found an open condom behind the nightstand. Housekeeping definitely needs to step up their game.
