It's interesting. I truly had a wonderful stay and I don't often write these things. But the stay was so nice that it's worth saying these things in the hours that the girl night see then and make a few needed improvements to make it perfect. 1. As wonderful as my room was, the yellow corner couch was VERY badly stained with what were probably water stand over time but it looked too terrible to want to sit on. 2. The staff was very kind and friendly but I was working in the room all day doing paperwork and so my room wasn't serviced (I assume there is daily service) and no one came to check later. Incidentally, there was no signage that normally says these things (ie. Whether they want you to leave towels you want replaced on the floor or how often they service the room). There wasn't a do not disturb sign to place on the door knob. Little details like that. 3. This is such a random thing and admittedly quite picky. The doors are solid wood and heavy and the building is older. They SLAM if not closed carefully. It was very very evident when neighbors would come and go. It's there some door closure that could minimize this noise? I tune things out pretty easily but it was like thunder. 4. Lastly, I booked in booking.com. I wish the listing had been clearer that the large porch/patio/enclosed room included in the suite was not heated. Truly it was a wonderful stay. These are small things that would take it to the next level.

It was beautiful. The room was clean and huge and had a really interesting patio. The spa tub was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The toiletries provided were great. The heavy solid wood and actual metal key to the room are things that make it feel special.

Everything seemed closed and there was no one there not even staff, just one person at the front desk who was often not even there. The restaurants and facilities were all closed. We didn’t see any guests or staff other than that one guy our entire time. It was a very bizarre like we were in an alternate reality. Soo quiet. But we only wanted a one night stay and to enjoy the room so it didn’t bother us, but if I wanted to stay longer or enjoy food and spa I’d be upset.

The room was beautiful, so romantic and spacious, comfortable king bed, warm fire place, outstanding bath tub, just perfect. We loved our couples getaway very much. Also not a far drive from Boston or the mountains. When we called and asked for robes and silverware someone came and immediately brought it to us. Everything was so clean and organized. Very relaxing.

No breakfast just a kuerig coffee maker. No one explained where anything was when we arrived and no mention of any events etc in the restaurant. The TV kept coming on during the middle of the night and we had to pull the plug. The spa area was confusing and the workers did not know what was going on. The bed was very hard

The room was nice and large. There were good amenities inside the room. The grounds looked maintained and the hotel was clean. Happy they had the restaurant and bar it was delicious. The welcome box with treats was a nice surprise. The hotel has the potential to be very nice. Not sure the overnight cost was worth the stay.

we were told the pool would be open till 9pm and it was closed when we checked in. it also took over an hour for our breakfast in bed. we unfortunately had to call multiple times.

Loved the beautiful room and the grounds were breathtaking with the changing foliage! Staff was extremely pleasant & the whole place was welcoming. Some special touches - like a welcome box of snacks with our key at checkin.

It was so HOT in our room! The staff did the best they could but weren’t able to lower the thermostat below 75, they told us to turn it off and open a window. But for more than $400 I really expected better.

Went to this hotel and spa clearly for the amenities and wet areas. When we arrived and without any noticed we were informed that all amenities were closed. Decided not to stay.

I didn't like the fact that no facilities were working. We came to the hotel for the Spa and pool and nothing was working. It is said on booking that there are a lot of activities like hiking, horse riding and so on and it was totally nothing and absolutely nothing to do! You could at least write it on your website or on booking that nothing is workong so we would not book your hotel ! Because we have chosen it exactly for the Spa, so we had to cancel one night. Anyway our expectations were destroyed because we planned this weekend in advance.

We liked a friendly staff and the restaurant, the room was clean and nice. But the fact that no facilities were working destroyed our expectation.

The rooms was freezing. No heat in the bathroom. The front desk booked our massage for the wrong day and blamed me. Extremely rude about it as well. The pool and hot tub was a far walk and no towels available to dry off with.

It's a great location. It has a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, and the grounds are beautiful. I like and enjoy traveling alone, but I could see it being a perfect place for a romantic getaway.

The spa closes early so if you arrive in the afternoon, you won’t be able to use it. The swimming pool is in another building, so you have to walk in (in our case) -2 degrees Celsius to get to it… The lady at reception was not pleasant nor was she helpful. The phones in the bedrooms do not work (we couldn’t even ring reception).

The rooms were spacious, well designed, nicely decorated. The hotel is easy to find and well located, easily accessible.
