Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It had been a while since we stayed in a university environment so we had to adjust. We are in our 70’s. The location was close to where we wanted to visit a friend.
Breakfast seemed limited. I found my breakfast. Options what I normally would choose. Husband struggled with his choices.

The tiny bathroom was much too small.
The property was in an ideal spot, directly across from U of O. The space was clean although a bit dated but comfortable except the too cramped bathroom.

We had handicapped parking when we arrived, but when we returned there wasn’t any parking at all. The desk agent had me park in front of the office for the night.
The location was great and the beds were very comfortable.

The sink faucet did not work properly. Walls are thin. The upstairs people stomping around. The next door man and woman arguing starting at 4 AM and continuing until 8AM.
The breakfast was continental. The room was clean. Te Wifi was good. The bathroom was SMALL. Hardly any room to move around. I have stayed here before and that is why I booked this place.

The parking was terrible. Not enough spots for the amount of rooms. The pillows were like sleeping on a rock covered in moss and then I had 3 separate chargers on my card covering more than 2.5 times the price of the room
I thought the property had a great location, the staff was great.

There was lots of hubbub, and a few families were not quiet, but that's not the hotel's fault. a 2am wake up with a car alarm and stomping on the room above wasn't great. But that's the nature of a place like this and wasn't a big deal
Location, Location, Location. Right next to the University and across from their basketball arena. It was an easy walk to campus, and with the crosswalks basically right on each side of the facility, it wasn't bad crossing the busy street. I couldn't hear the cars from our room, and the workers were super nice and accommodating.

Noisy, bathroom was really tiny, didn’t feel secure with no extra security room lock and for some reason kept getting knocks on my door through the morning of checkout.

There was ants literally all over the room from the counters,to the bed,floor,etc. We couldn’t get the cable to work on the TV.
Friendly staff. The bed was comfortable and the water runs super hot.

Water wasn’t hot enough in the shower and there seems to be a mishap in payment waiting the 7 to 10 days to see if that clears up with the bank.
Great location, bed clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff both at check in and check out. Ample parking.

The bathroom mirror was peeling the walls were also peeling. The door has a small lock which made it feel a little less secure. They have a deposit fee that isn’t mentioned on their booking so that was a little annoying since I paid online. Lastly, one of our pillow cases was very stained and looked dirty.
The bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly.

I had no idea there was a guest laundry or breakfast service until my stay was over. Not enough locks on the door to feel secure. Hole in bathroom ceiling.
The location of the hotel was great for me. Everything was nice and clean. The heater warmed it nice and provided a white noise. I was able to park right by my room.

Patched wall needing painting, sink drain plug Gad to be removed to drain, sink fixture would only work in limited positions. Worn and needing some TLC. Not very clean.
