Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Expensive for what you get. Stunningly bright flood lights in the parking lot.
It's fine. Pretty clean, but sparse rooms. Ironing board was broken. Surprisingly quiet. Pool area is great!

View from the rooms is just parking lot & Denny's which is a shame since the property is right up against beautiful hills/trails.
Super close to the Madonna Inn (easily walkable), a great budget option if attending any event taking place there! Also adjacent to an open space preserve with great hiking/biking trails. Staff were friendly, responsive & helpful. Room was as described & clean.

When using the shower and turning on the hot water the pipes start to shudder and make a loud noise.
The rooms have been recently remodeled and the flooring and countertops all look great. Parking is plentiful and close to rooms. Denny's is conveniently next door so you can get meals easily. Staff is courteous and communicates via text. Tesla superchargers right next door at the Madonna Inn.

Good location that is right next to the Madonna Inn. Also very convenient access to the grocery store. Parking and room were great. Check in was convenient and the staff was very friendly. The room had everything we needed.

The air conditioner worked sporadically. Light on one side of the bed didn't work. TV channels are very limited

I didn't like being located right under the stairs but they were pretty full during spring break and didn't have another room at the same price available to move to.
The room was as advertised. Unfortunately my room was right under the stairwell so there was a lot of noise as people were coming and going. The room was straightforward and comfortable.

NOT hotels fault & as native Californian know homelessness decades long issue. Never once felt unsafe but loud whispers & trash piles in bushes difficult w curious son & dog esp when asked for $. Dog to stay w us 3 nights totaled $80. Ouch. Bed needs new mattress soon. Toilet runs, tough to flush
Next door to Madonna Inn so we walked, hiked w dog throughout beautiful property. Great walk/bike path w views of lush grassland, trees & farm animals. My son loved Denny's next door w 10% off for motel guests. We didn't swim but pool & jacuzzi looked inviting & others were having great time. Cleaning staff were friendly w warm smiles. Madonna Inn Cafe was not as expensive as I thought & walking distance from motel

The hotel is near the road and a restaurant, so light sleepers may have trouble sleeping depending on where their room is located.
This place was great for the money. The beds were comfortable, there were a few places to eat within walking distance. The few employees we met were friendly. The room was clean and all the bathroom facilities worked well. The location is not right in town but only a five minute drive away from the town center.

Towels had stains on them, plumbing made loud rumbling sound when water was at a certain temperature, door did not have a "do not disturb" hanger.

The window HVAC needs replacement very badly.

The water pressure in toilet was not good. Really annoying to have to ask for a plunger after using toilet for #1. Taking an afternoon shower shouldn’t be cold.

Freeway noise.

Wish I could've stayed longer.
This is basically a couple driveways down from the famous Madonna Inn, but I'm sure it's much more affordable. Despite that, my room was excellent; everything I tried seemed to work, bed was comfortable, room itself was large enough and staff was very nice. The Denny's next door provided 10 percent off when showing room key, which was appreciated. Convenient location off Highway 101.
