Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeCleanliness of the curtains. We have full window view and the curtains are a bit dusty. We need to pull it to close at night for privacy. Too many furniture in the room so it make the space looks tight. Also not enough lighting for the room. It's a bit too dark in certain corners.
Staff are helpful whenever we have requests. Location is convenient to many eateries. On day 1, we found 1 lampstand malfunction. A staff came and tried to help though he wasn't the technical staff. He found out the bulb was missing and went back to store to look for one though it's quite late at night. He came back with a bulb within half an hour. We were impressed with his dedication and helpfulness to sort out the lighting issue.

United States of AmericaAt checkout, there was an additional undisclosed "DAILY facility" fee of $17.43 a day. I was told by the front desk that fee was "Added by the manager after the date you booked." No answer for why I wasn't informed in advance. As for the continental breakfast (you pay for it as part of the FACILITY fee (SO many extra fees and taxes...) It only applies to 2 guests, so we had to pay about $10 a day extra for our kid, even though we booked for 3. Our total ended up being $130 more that quoted by booking.com. Felt like a bait and switch. The shower had only a half wall with no door (too small for that business!) Water sprayed all over the place including the toilet paper rolls. Only one hook for towels, of which there were exactly 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 washcloths. Again, we booked for a family of 3. The sink faucet wasn't meant for that style sink, it comes out fast and travels far! Water, water everywhere! There was no closet space to put suitcases... so into the weird office space they went! It was odd but fine.
Small hotel. Clean, nicely appointed if not a bit oddly laid out (Queen suite: had a weird little office nook up against the floor to ceiling windows.) Nice staff, good location, walk to Little Italy & near subways. Bed & sofa bed both very comfy. Free bottled water. Lots of hot water for showering and good shower head. Mini fridge. They allowed a one hour late check out and they held our luggage on the last day. Continental breakfast was fine... but read the small print! (And if you are Gluten Free, get ready to eat a lot of hard boiled eggs, yogurt and Cheerios!) It had some quirks but we liked this place a lot... too bad there were hidden charges after booking with booking.com.

United States of AmericaI wish we could have stayed one more night here :( The in house ramen restaurant could have been a bit more. It was highly cramped and the bartender messed up our order. I didn't say anything at that point because he looked really busy as he was not only the bar tender, but we was also the waiter and cashier.
The room was very spacious! I felt like we were staying in a suite. The hotel is conveniently located near public transportation and I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Chinatown. I would return once again.

New ZealandThey could do with a separate kettle rather than a coffee machine. We finally got it sussed on our last night as to stop it overflowing. The lighting in the room was too dim also, a main light would be good. The frosted window in the bathroom was a bit weird, they would be better off not having it.
The staff were super helpful, we had an issue with our fridge and got it sorted ASAP for us. Location was fantastic. Wouldn't hesitate staying again.

IsraelRoom was slightly more than half size to what is written in Booking. This is a returning problem. by now I have zero belief in the room size data Booking has on its site. Not everyday the room was cleaned and notice about that came late.
Checking in worked well even though i came the next morning due to flight delay. Room was clean and bed was good.
