Loved everything about the hotel. The grounds and common rooms were very beautiful. It was so nice to have all that room outside and plenty of parking. Very much appreciated how dark the drawn curtains made the room. Great deal, would stay at again.

King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn slept in one of the bedchambers and walked through the ancient gardens at Thornbury Castle - A Relais & Chateaux Hotel, a Tudor castle near the Cotswolds and Welsh Borders.

Lovely staff, our room was amazing, quiet and clean. We felt like travelling back in time. We will definitely be back.

As a lone traveller for work, it was great to get an upgrade. I have not come across this chain before and was very impressed. Lovely pub setting and as a woman on my own I was made to feel welcome and at ease. Lovely comfortable bed and breakfast. Enjoyed the cafetière coffee in the room too. There’s a lot here I would would come back to…an amazing view from the top of the village!

Staff were great, kitchen had just closed when we arrived but the guy on reception asked the chefs to make us a quick meal which was lovely. He warned us out room was very small but it didn't matter to us as it was just a room for the night. Location was perfect for us.

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely and clean, comfortable bed. There was a slight hiccup, the chef was unwell and food was not being cooked, this was easily put right and the lovely gentleman ordered a takeaway for me. Yes I paid for it, but they couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent service. Would be happy to stay there again.

Lovely warm, traditional inn in rural village setting, perfect for a stopover on the way to the South West. Very cosy bedroom, sustainable amenities and comfortable bed. Excellent choice of breakfast, just ask for everything you want when the waiter takes the initial order (including toast!) otherwise it is not brought to the table.
