Kannawaen is an entirely non-smoking accommodation that features a garden, terrace and bar in Beppu. 100 metres from Hells of Beppu, the property is also 500 metres away from Jigokumushikobo Kannawa. Excellent service and friendly staff. No problems communicating since there were English and Chinese speaking staff as well. Hot springs were nice. Clean rooms.

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is situated in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 100 metres from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. We loved everything. But the onsen was probably the best part.

AMANE resort GAHAMA features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 24 km of Oita Bank Dome and 4.4 km of Beppu Station. Awesome resort and facilities. Room was huge and with 2 floors. Two private onsen for the room, one inside and other outside!

Featuring free WiFi and a hot spring bath, Hatago Kayausagi offers accommodation in Hita. Free private parking is available on site. Each room at this ryokan is air conditioned and features a TV. Great food and well managed onsen. It is a bit tricky in terms of the access but I was bery satisfied with kind people and the most wonderful food.

Providing quiet street views and an open-air bath, Baien offers accommodation well located in Yufu, within a short distance of Kinrinko Lake, Yufuin Stained Glas Museum and Unaki Hime Shrine. The Ryokan is beautiful everywhere. Loved the private onsen and the space in our room. Food was served in a private room at the dining area. Parking was easy, staff helped us with the luggage all the way. Best to drive there.

Set in Yufu and only 43 km from Oita Bank Dome, Ryoso Yufuin Yamadaya offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. It is so beautiful. If you really want to experience authentic japanese living, i really would recommend this place. From the japanese room with the view of garden and the mountain to the authentic “oishi” japanese kaiseki dinner and delicious breakfast. All ingredients are fresh and delicious. The place in near the station and shops and the lake are walkable. The experience of using the private onsen outside with garden view is best.

With sea views, Iseya, Seaview Private Onsen Bath is situated in Unzen and has a restaurant and a 24-hour front desk. This 3-star ryokan offers a lift. Room was spacious and comfortable, with own private onsen. They offered different patterned yukata for us to choose! We ordered dinner and breakfast and they offered the best meals we had to-date fr hotel/ ryokan. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. Free coffee / tea at lobby were a bonus.

Situated just less than 1 km from Nishinohama Beach, Yoyokaku provides accommodation in Karatsu with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as a housekeeping service. The hotel looks classic. There is a gallery in the hotel. Staffs are very good service . Japanese futon, comfortable to sleep on.

Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. The room was nice and spacious, cozy and comfortable. They have an amazing variety of onsen and perhaps the only place with mixed onsen which I enjoyed very much with my husband. Staff was amazing as well.
