My friend and I have stayed several times before and always found the hotel to be welcoming and the staff remembered us. We usually have drinks in the comfortable bar and a meal in the restaurant (though that's not possible on a Sunday as we discovered last year!). Our twin room was nice and bathroom very clean.

The staff were lovely and very helpful and swopped our large double bed for twins when we asked.
It's right in the middle of the High Street, so handy for everything.
We ate in the restaurant downstairs, which was handy, and the food was great and reasonably priced. The young man serving us was very efficient, helpful, and kind.
There was free parking at the sister hotel next door, as their own car park was very small and full.

The hosts were very welcoming. There are so many extras included fresh fruit and chocolates in the room. Coffee and cakes on arrival. Umbrellas, hot water bottle, bath robes. Beautiful gardens. Free car park. Great breakfast. Lovely old house with lots of history. Great location. Very quiet.

We stayed for 3 nights and the accommodation was exactly as shown on the photos, lovely, but a bit bigger than the photos suggested. The location was idyllic set in the midst of farmland but within minutes of the town centre. Julie and Mike were both very friendly and attentive to our needs and also provided some good local knowledge of the area. The continental breakfast basket each morning more than met our needs and was excellent. An unexpected bonus was that there were 2 TVs in the accommodation, one in the bedroom as shown and one opposite the sofa in the dining/lounge area. The surrounding countryside is very lovely.
