Not much to like it was a budget hotel

Just off the M1 motorway, Holiday Inn Rotherham Sheffield is less than 10 minutes’ drive from both Rotherham and Sheffield city centres.

This place was exceptional value for money and the perfect stop over for a night as we was on a family road trip, two adults, two kids and our little dog, yes it was dog friendly, facilities were great, breakfast excellent, and a Starbucks on site!! We couldn't believe our luck and if ever we're passing and needed to stop over we wouldn't look anywhere else, all staff other than one was excellent, the only down side was the guy who was looking after the pool, think he thought he was guarding an embassy from attack rather than keeping an eye on people in a pool!!

The room was fine apart from a damp smell when we walked in. Later we discovered the fan in the bathroom didn’t work, which explained the damp smell when we walked in. It wasn’t ideal when the toilet was used either. Shame really as the food, and staff were all good. We didn’t report it as we stayed one night and to be fair it should have been obvious to who ever went in to clean the room
