It's not a hostel, it's a Guesthouse in the best style of classic Thailand: cheap, clean, and convenient. You get to stay in an historic house in a pretty wine village reached by a panoramic small train for long ago prices. The host really cares about the place and it shows. Bathrooms are shared, and don't expect a hotel, but everything is well done.

Very friendly staff. The room was great. Breakfast was good. The local wine they produce was delicious!
We were on a bike tour and could store our bikes opposite the hotel under cover (but not a locked room, so you need to lock the bikes).
Reil is a quiet village on the banks of the Moselle.
Reil is a quiet village on the banks of the Moselle. Friendly people abound and there is a wide range of eating places. The boats stop there so there are many opportunities to tour on the river. The river is busy with freight traffic so one can simply sit and watch the world go by, literally. Yet the river is calm and ideal for water sports.

The place was very well situated in a quiet area on the border of Reil town with a lovely view of the Mosel river and valley. The host was extremely nice and welcoming. Breakfast was also very rich and tasty and the room was spacious, clean, bed was comfortable and we also had a balcony overseeing the Mosel Valley.
