I couldn't praise this accommodation enough, from start to finish the landlord and his staff were so helpful pleasant and professions. The village is beautiful, room was stunning, rain shower was heaven and some lovely touches, including a breakfast hamper and fresh milk in the fridge. I was by myself travelling for work and they even brought my dinner to the room. Nothing was too much trouble, thank you so much. I will definitely be back !

This was our first stay. We were very impressed with the whole experience. Staff were welcoming. The food both dinner and breakfast was excellent. The hotel sits in lovely grounds.
Our room, we booked a suite, The Ribble Suite was very comfortable with the most amazing four poster bed. Our only initial concern was the height of the base of the bed to get in and out of (we are in our seventies) however we coped admirably! The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a bath and a walk in shower.
We couldn’t fault the hotel, would happily recommend it and we will return.

Beautiful location. Large room and friendly staff.
The best part would have to be the view! I love a good view and the pictures on the website don’t do it’s justice, when you get there and you see it for yourself it really does blow you away (if you have an eye for views like me anyway!)

Clitheroe is a town full of interest to all those who wish to learn more about the industrial and social history of Lancashire valley mill towns. There are many old family businesses and shops, cafes and, of course, the fabulous Holmes Mill and its Bowland Bar and Brewery. A charming, thriving and most engaging town - with a castle!

Clitheroe is a lovely town with local shops, pubs and restaurants. The castle and its grounds are worth the climb up the hill. The town is a good base for exploring further afield.
For those with walking difficulties, you should be aware that Clitheroe is on a hill and the streets can be steep.
For those liking wine, there is an excellent wine shop D. Byrne & Co to explore.

I was very frustrated prior to the visit I have been seriously ill and needed to talk someone re the rooms booked as currently have limited mobility I was unable to do this other than that everything was spot on
Before arrival the host sent us over all the information we needed for checkin along with some parking tips which was very helpful on arrival to the town. The cottage was stunning and had a lovely home away from home feel with kitchen facilities (fresh bread, milk and eggs available for us). The location of the property was perfect for us, lots of local shops nearby as well as great parking facilities. We really enjoyed our stay and would book again in the future.
From the moment you walk in the hotel/ pub, you feel welcome. It has a real welcoming and warm feel, staff are very friendly and accommodating. Room was decorated beautifully in a shabby chic style, smart tv, tea and coffee, bath, shower and all the toiletries. The location is great for a nice and quiet getaway with a dog with all the greenery around and nearest town only a few minutes away.
Lovely, quiet village location, with a short journey to Clitheroe town centre. Well kept grounds with outside seating and great views. Stunning looking building with fantastic hanging baskets. Room was very clean and tidy, breakfast was tasty and well cooked. Restaurant offered a good selection and service was prompt. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
This hotel is in a beautiful location and is a hidden little gem .

Stunning gift basket of treats provided. The home is exceptionally clean, feels brand new. Extremely well situated in the park to make the most of the lake view. Ideal location to explore surrounding area. Would definitely stay again, as family or couple. Comfortably accommodated two adults and two teens.
Staff so very welcoming & accommodating, thank you. Very clean & a great location to explore Clitheroe centre & castle. Coming back after the lounge closes means using the fire escape but it takes you to the ground floor of the hotel side of the property. There are 2 hotel floors.
I liked everything about the hotel and would definitely stay again when in the area. From the reception staff to the decor all over the hotel I was really impressed, I would love to know where the furniture is sourced as it’s exactly my taste.
Private and spacious pad, ideally located for the centre of town, all amenities, and easy to get out into the beautiful surrounding countryside. The host/ owner Olivia was very helpful and communicative. Loved it!
Absolutely beautiful cosy house! Felt like home as soon as we walked in! So many lovely comfortable areas to sit, very relaxing and spacious inside. Highly recommend this lovely house.
Location was excellent. Host was very helpful and we found everything we needed. Would use again as it was ideal as a place to stay right near the town centre.
