Staff were lovely, always happy to help and offer us recommendations. The room was so beautifully decorated and for the price we paid and to have breakfast included we thought was brilliant!

Beautiful location, lovely room, exceptional host. Sami went above and beyond as we needed an extra night in the area and found us a room in a sister hotel. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and nicely furnished, the food and service was excellent and the breakfast likewise. Sami introduced us to Butcombe loyalty club and after joining we had 20% off our stay at the sister hotel and 25% off our food. A gem of a place.

DIY breakfast in the kitchen. They provided with Bread and jam etc. You can also bring your groceries to cook in the kitchen. Hot tub outside is the best of all. Lake view is awesome. Will come back with more friends.

Pub was great (satisfied both beer and wine drinkers)
Food was great - better than good pub food, but not too fancy either
Room was excellent - very comfy bed, lovely bathroom, and excellent towels!
And on top of all that, the service was outstanding, including a phone call to advise of road works and how to access parking.

We like to stay away from cities if possible and to have a good pub to stay at with excellent food is a bonus, we can never find these sorts of places when we look for them so this was an absolute boon for us. Compton Martin is not a destination place but they are down the road to the Chew valley lakes so views were lovely and the village is very pretty to, close for Cheddar gorge, Axbridge, Wells, Glastonbury and Street, we only live in Devon but found lots to do and could have found more

This pub is a real gem - everything was great about it.
This pub is a real gem - everything was great about it. The room was very comfortable and the bed was amazing. Food was delicious and the staff went abve and beyound to give us a great stay. We particularly liked eating in the beer garden - so relaxing. If you want a great meal or somewhere to stay in the Mendips, this could not be beaten.
