Central location, 10 minute walk to the Night Market & lots of shops & restaurants. Not on the main road so quiet at night. Spacious rooms and bathrooms with shower glass separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom! :)
Friendly staff too, no one speaks much English but they are really trying to help! Decent price for a good hotel!

Brilliant island which offers you a calm and pleasant experience. Enough attractions for kids and couples looking for some private time. Connectivity to the city is very simple via local transport which is free and is available 24/7. Just ask at the reception of the report or hotel and you will find all the details. Food is nice if you are an explorer and local restaurants offer great variety and taste.

If you go by ferry to and from Phu quoc, be prepared for a bumpy ride! On the way back I spent all my time at a toilet in the rear. However, it was my own fault as I should have taken medicine against motion sickness prior to that 1½ hour long journey.
About the Island itself, it is really beautiful, perhaps in parts a bit touristic which didn't disturb us that much since we rented a motorbike on three occasions so we could explore every hidden jem both north and south, like the starfish beach, the zoo with safari, remote fishing villages, the big pagoda in the far south and lots of other places. But of course, the main street in Duang dong can be extremely busy in the evening, as was the entire town on Tet (New years) eve. But there is a really good air conditioned bus service which is for free.
And so lastly a note about the cable car in the far south which we never booked for it being so hugely overpriced, at least if, like us, you're traveling on a low budget.

Tady už turismus Vietnam úplně zabil.
Tady už turismus Vietnam úplně zabil. Všude resorty plné Rusů, mezi nimi špína a jinak nic. Sever i jih ostrova – totální turistický lunapark. Falešné Benátky i s gondolami, další fake italská města.

Geat Island, vary varied not ALL a tourist trap, even if the have life sized fake Italian town where nobody lives. Visit different parts of the Island during your stay, very different, some places hot and muggy, other more breezy.
% star resorts are overrated and the busiest.
Water not really clear and magic as in some of the pictures.
Over developed in parts, other parts especially the North, more pleasant and authentic.
Don't be shy to trat yourself to massages the are generally great.
Use sun block ;-)

We were last in Phu Quoc 9 years ago, and a lot has obviously changed.
More buildings and resorts have appeared along the beaches. However, it looks like some of the investment has gone into their infrastructure and roads.
Whilst many of the beaches are a lot cleaner, there is still a problem with rubbish on the roadsides. This is a real shame. However, don't let that stop you from coming to this Island. There is a lot to see and visit (and much of it is free). The people are the friendliest I know and the food is delicious. I will be back!
Review
It’s one of my best stays ever. Super luxury boutique property right on the beachside. Beautiful clean beach… Our private pool was also amazing. The hospitality was awesome to another level. They made special arrangements for us ! Breakfast in our private pool was also super special. Mr Trung at the reception made the experience even more amazing !! He gave us special local homegrown gifts. Whatever I needed from the supermarket he arranged at the hotel itself !! He gave us the best service ever !! Must visit place !!
What a beautiful stay! We loved the French colonial style of the hotel.
The room was super comfy. The beach and sun loungers were well catered for with more than enough space (unlike the surrounding hotels). Food was great. The best thing about La Veranda is undoubtedly the friendly, genuine and helpful staff. Extra special shout out to Sam, who was so incredibly proactive and attentive - he is a gem! The Vietnamese food experience was absolutely delicious! Madame Catherine's spirit was certainly felt! Will be back!
Hotel right on the beach, great swimming pool. The swimming pool is quiet no music so it was very relaxing. Just what we wanted.
Room was huge, cleaned every day with fresh towels each day. Great to have a teapot in the room. Water bottles daily and toiletries.
Close to small cafes and restaurants just a couple of minutes walk. An amazing beach bar just a couple of minutes walk along the beach. Amazing sunsets.
This hotel is the perfect location. We booked for 4 days but stayed for 10. We loved it.
Staying at mango beach was really a highlight during our travels through Vietnam! the resort is quiet and beautiful, food and drinks were great, and the service and staff were amazing! tony and his team really make sure you get everything you need for either spending a super relaxed time in the resort or for exploring the island. they put a lot of emphasis on sustainable tourism - and the fresh mangos you get there are the best :) highly recommended!
The perfect place to stay. Good size, clean and comfortable room, great variety of foods in breakfast. Location near to everything in Duong Dong area, restaurants, shopping, massage... Staff is wonderful and they really make your stay better. Good deal for motorbike and flexible return time, possibilty to take shower in the evening before flight and free transport to the airport. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, hoping to stay there again.
We booked the hotel for our stay in Phu Quoc. This is just a few steps to the centre of Duong Dong where you can easily get access to restaurants, night markets and other services. The staff and the owner are incredibly friendly and helpful. We also like the breakfast provided although you might feel that not many choices.
The kids really enjoy the swimming pool and said that they would like to come back in the future.
The colors and equipment in the house are good and have good visibility, large comfortable bedrooms, large living room and kitchen spaces that are very convenient for eating and relaxing. The toilet is always clean, we did not expect that in Vietnam there is a sunset town like Italy, many amenities around are very modern.
Very good localization, private beach next to the great beach bar, clean beach, great breakfast.
We visited 7 beached on the Phu Quoc and we agreed that our hotel's beach is the best.
Staff taking care about the clean on the beach and to deliver very good food. I recommend
I had a quite pleasant stay in Sen Hotel, the room was spacious as expected, wifi was good and stable, tv had some English speaking channels, the hotel is within walking distance of the center of Duong Dong and not far from the public beach, plenty of restaurants nearby.
Super friendly and helpful staff.
Spacious beach front bungalow
Beautiful and calm location in the north of the island.
Good food and various options to choose from (Western and Vietnamese)
Very big plus for me personally are ceiling fans that are not noisy!! ;)
Our room was amazing! Thien, Katrina, Long, and Sharks to name a few were all wonderful. The food was delicious! Everything was very high class. The property is covered with great greenery. This is a must if visiting Vietnam. We loved finding the hidden Bar Jade!
Excellent value for money for the location and facilities - great room size, pool, on the beach and very near to bars and restaurants. Beach bar and well kept gardens. Sun beds kept for guests staying at the hotel on the beach.
Right in the center (Duong Dong town). Very nice price for those just need where to stay while traveling. Right outside the hotel is some places for dinning (Bubble milk tea, pastry store, coffee shop..)
Fantastic location, hotel is on the beach and night market. Able to rent motorcycle to explore the island. Staff very friendly always smiling. Tea from the beach bar was amazing-always making us smile
Everything I liked about this hotel including staff, facilities, location, transportation service and the sea view was amazing. If I happen to visit this island, I'll definitely book the same hotel.
A great choice for those looking for a place to stay when visiting Phu Quoc - Vietnam. I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to come back here again.
