The hostess was very appreciative that we had booked the room although we were expecting something different than that which was presented. We had trouble finding the location as it was way off course outside the city center. We decided to stay as the hostess made a good impression and we had sympathy for her situation. As it turned out we had an excellent stay and are appreciative for her hospitality.

We should have expected an excellent meal at a property named Le Moulin du Gastronome, but this exceeded our expectations. Our room was comfortable and overlooked the patio below. The staff was very cordial, pleasant and efficient. The the highlight was our most delightful dinner. We appreciate the staff, and salute the chef. We recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay at an older hotel, and enjoy your dinner!

The room had reverse cycle air con which was very welcome because Mâcon was freezing when we were there. The staff were the highlight of our stay. They helped us so much with organising taxis despite us knowing very limited french. Breakfast was yummy, locally sourced and they even cooked waffles to order. But, the best about this hotel is the restaurant and personnel. At last, a gourmet restaurant that lived up to its name. Great food and service. The continental breakfast was also very good. We arrived on foot and the restaurant next door was closed so the wonderful chap on reception offered us a choice of meals that he could prepare in the microwave.
