Montceau Les Mines is a lovely tranquil town.
Montceau Les Mines is a lovely tranquil town. There are peacful walks along the canal with old photographs mounted in intervals at the canalside of how it looked and was used many years ago, which is very interesting. There are a number of super eateries of varying levels from fast food to high end Haute Cuisine, so something for everyone.

I loved the low level lighting when I entered on arrival. The building and it's facilities are really nice. Really liked the bar area, really liked the local town. Good selection of drinks. The restaurant food was really nice. Breakfast was really nice too, really loved the self serv orange juicing machine.

It was clean, next to a park for walking our dog and because of COVID, the breakfast had to be chosen the night before and then you pick up the tray in the morning to take to your room.

The hotel is modern. We found the rooms a little small, the smallest on our roadtrip. But for the price, relatively good. Breakfast was of good value.
