This is a great small hotel. For my taste, it is the best hotel on the Fuschlsee. I have stayed here twice, both times in September (two different years), each time in a double room with a balcony. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, spacious and modern. The bathroom facilities are of the highest standard. The view over the Fuschlsee from my balcony was wonderful. There is a sun deck adjacent to the lake where you can lounge with a glass of wine or access the lake for a swim (I did both!). The food in the restaurant is excellent and quite reasonable. The hotel owner and staff were attentive. The feeling of the hotel is intimate, not pretentious, but the quality of the facilities warrants five stars.

We liked everything. The apartment was spacious, clean and had great views. The host met us at the door and anticipated our arrival. She took her time showing us the unit and answer any questions we had.

The comprehensive breakfast was superb in a superb location. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The Wellness facilities of pool, sauna, massage were extraordinary. It was our favorite hotel of the trip, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and it's wonderful staff!! we loved the location and our room was AMAZING! with a view of the lake and mountains. The facilities are top notch, and the breakfast divine; as a vegan I greatly appreciated the choice. Every evening we used the spa, which is wonderful, with so many rooms to choose from (sauna, steam etc.) and a delightful pool. The hotel is set in its own grounds that are peaceful and relaxing, with all the local shops and restraunts just a short walk away. The best thing really was how friendly and accomodating the staff were, which made it feel more like a wellness retreat! We are so thakful to all everyone at Hollwegers and we hope to visit again in the very near future!

An amazing homestay with caring and welcoming hosts. We got an amazing appartment with a fully equipped kitchen, seating in the garden full of roses and a comfortable bed. Everything was clean and tidy. The location must be great for cycling. The closest lake (Hintersee) is approx. 5 km from the appartment. Othwerwise Faistenau has a bigger supermarket, bakery and a few restaurants.
