Exceptionally comfortable large bed, beautiful linen. The breakfast was outstanding and generous. The home smoked bacon and salmon were stand outs. Well located near the historic old town. Prior to arrival we were contacted and advised that there were building renovations underway - this was appreciated and in practice had no negative impact on the stay.

Such a quiet and calming place to stay, really easy to switch off. Sitting in the hot tub (with the bubbles off) looking up at the stars was incredible, I’ve never been able to see so many stars at night before. We also had the best nights sleep I think we’ve ever had.

They've thought of literally everything, and it's all laid out perfectly for convenience/ease of use. Chris was great with showing me where to go on walks locally, where to eat and how to use the spa facilities. Loved it.

This magnificent 5-star hotel faces the beach from King Edward's Parade. It offers luxurious accommodation, 2 award-winning restaurants, and both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Apart from being a beautiful grand old hotel with quality furnishings, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The meal in the restaurant at night was perfect. We enjoyed the lavish breakfast in the morning as well. We loved the total experience of staying here and only wish we had more than one night.

Spacious rooms, excellent public rooms. Lunch in the bar was excellent as was the included breakfast. All the staff we interacted with were chereful and helpful. Our 4th visit when in the area so despite the negatives we love this hotel.
