If you know, you know ! Here you will find something special. Simple, grounded, no frills but full of warmth, hospitality, laughter and great food. Nicoletta and Kiki were wonderful, the food and drink all homemade, all local, was great. Peaceful, serene with stunning views. If you are lucky you might bump into Angelina Jolie... we did !

I loved the location at 1600 meters above sea level, though it means there’s no shops or services other than the restaurant onsite. The staff were all warm and friendly, the room and bathroom clean and comfortable. The meals available for purchase, and the included breakfast were great quality.

Comfortable, large bedroom. Excellent dinner. Very handy overnight halt if you're cycling between Gotthard/Bellinzona. Secure bicycle storage in the basement. Loved the history of this place - dates back hundreds of years providing rest for travelers over the Gotthard Pass and it was a privilege to be one of them! There's even a museum in the basement which has some fascinating artefacts about the history of the site.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant had home made pasta. Very tasty.

Uncomplicated and efficient communication. We booked on short notice and everything went well! Very cosy cabin.

Beautiful house in a scenic location. The house was very well equipped, including shampoo, toilet paper, kitchen utensils and various spices. The owners were nice and accommodating. If you have any experience driving in the mountains, then getting to the house should not be a problem.

Characterful, two storey apartment in a stunning location. Dalpe is a very peaceful village above the valley floor but the roads are good, so it is quite accessible. The apartment has been lovingly renovated and has good facilities. Good communication from the hosts and easy check-in. Plenty of walking trails directly from the door and a handy little village shop 2 minutes away. Bigger supermarkets in the nearby town in the valley bottom.

Amazing host, homely, yet stylish environment with great eye for details. Breakfast was lush and healthy. Next to a pizzeria and a great view on the mountains with the waterfall nearby.

The simplicity of check in using codes to enter the house and room. The rooms are newly renovated (Aug 2025) with an excellent bed and shower/bathroom. Loved my stay. Highlight was having supper in the villages Restaurant Osteria Salzi (village square). Would recommend both to anyone hiking through on the Strada Alta and the Trans Swiss Route (Nr 2).
