Accommodation in Kandersteg

Loved the place from the moment I arrived: well organized, clean, exactly what I needed for my hike up to Oeschinensee. It is close to the trail start, and has small and functional rooms. The breakfast is delicious, providing all that is needed for a good start into a hiking day. All in all: great stay, would totally recommend & stay here again.

This was the most incredible stay. Truly authentic Swiss scenery and setting. The staff were fantastic. So very pleased with this booking. Highly recommend.

The room is a bit low, but it’s super cozy and has everything you need. If you take a moment to look around, you’ll find all the essentials. The kitchen and living room get great sunlight, and honestly, I’d come back just for the view from the window. The location is great too—really close to a supermarket, and the bus to Lake Öschinen and Blausee is super convenient. I loved it here!

The room is in a lovely Swiss-style building in a beautiful location, with mountains and waterfalls surrounding. It is located close to the stunning Oeschinensee lake and was clean and comfortable. We loved eating at the restaurant and had beautiful pizzas. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the free parking was convenient and the rate was good value for the area. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would love to stay there again.

The interior is particularly cozy and disturbingly simple, but at the same time it reveals the special face of this place. We enjoyed everything. The hotel, the rooms, the hosts, the cleanliness, the amenities, the breakfast, the natural surroundings—all was top-notch. And one more thing: we really liked the old-fashioned but very speedy elevator in the hotel :)

The room with the jacuzzi has very nice view out the balcony, spacious and comfortable! The hotel is situated conveniently across a shop, few steps away from the starting point of the hike to the lake and also the tourist center.

I stayed 4 nights and I've had such a pleasant stay, everything was just perfect: beautifuly decorated, lovely and clean rooms, attention to details ,amazing wellness spa, great breakfast, lovely staff and a warm vibe in general. Claudia and Gerhard are the loveliest and most welcoming hosts i've ever met , always there happy to help. The hotel is very close to gondola just 5 min walking. I highly recommend it for solo travelers.

Everything was fantastic! The staff were super friendly and helpful, and we were even able to check in earlier than expected. The room was very cozy and had a lovely balcony. After a day of exploring, the sauna and jacuzzi were the perfect bonus and a great way to relax. The breakfasts were delicious and the location was also great. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Placed well for our short visit. Excellent room with veranda giving special view of the spectacular mountains. What a beautiful location. We were well looked after by the friendly staff. Allowed access to our room straight away when arrived early. Excellent breakfast. Wish we could stay longer. Adelboden so invIIing.

All the small personal touches were the best: a handwritten welcome note, a welcome hot drink and a parting gift. Thank you, we appreciate it!

The location is excellent, above the Kiental valley and reachable by the steepest PostBus ever at a 28deg incline. The views are majestic and the rooms are simple, clean and delivering indeed a nostalgic experience. There is a feeling of familiarity with the staff, they are super kind and friendly. Dinner was delicious and the choices for breakfast are great to start a hiking day, which you can start right in front of the hotel.

We left everything about this town, the property, and the host was very nice and helpful. She Gave me information about what was open on a major holiday. I would come back again. This time was too short.

Location and apartment complementaries

Great location, a short walk from the train station and other parts of the village. The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped. We especially liked the balcony and the sounds from the nearby stream. Nice mountain views from the main bedroom. It was easy to access the key from the lock box and there is a lift in the building. Good value for money in the area. The hosts are responsive and provide good directions.
