We really loved our stay at the hostal that really is more like Hotel. We stayed at a private bungalow with AC. Sofia and Jose are more than hosts. They really go out of their way to help and accommodate their guests. They also helped us with tons of 3rd party services, like car rentals, and tours. They breakfast was also really good Highly recommended!

We rented the main apartment with the sea view that can sleep up to 10 and so my review is for that apartment. Please read on because I have some very special things to say about this property and why I think it is a wonderful place to stay. Let me be honest and say that if you want a luxury 5 star hotel with modern facilities, this is not for you, This is a traditional and older island home, so not very modern but clean and comfortable with everything you would need including a fully equipped kitchen (no microwave) with a big fridge and a washing machine to do your laundry after a day hiking or swimming. What makes this place so special is its host, Yasna Ika, who was so friendly and helpful, and its location. It is right next to Ahu Tahai (you can see the moai from the porch) and the covered front porch, with table and seating, looks out across the dirt road and grass to the ocean. At night, go to sleep with the sound of breaking waves (and the occasional barking dog :-) ) and a sea breeze through your open window. In the morning, wake up and watch the guy on his dirt bike round up the horses outside and take them back out of town. Then walk up to the tiny mini market behind Ahu Tahai and buy fresh mangoes. Go to the sea bathing pools at Pea and Hanga Vare Vare. They are just 10 minutes' walk away, as are all the best restaurants along the sea front and the harbour. In the evening return to your porch and have a drink while you watch the sun go down or join the mass of people coming to watch the sunset at Ahu Tahai. They will be walking past you and wondering how you managed to get such a great spot. Then say hello to the lady who brings out a table in the evenings with little stone moai that she makes. You could stay in one one of the big, modern hotels at the other end of town but you would miss out on so much. This place embraces all the most magical parts of island life. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This hotel is charming! The attention to detail is just right and the staff has such a great vibe. As a solo traveler I felt very whole and safe staying here. The rooms are spacious with excellent air conditioning. The food is generous and overall the hotel has a homey vibe which is what I loved the most. Cat also was great <3 the girls who picked me up at the airport with a flower necklace were a treat and it kick started my holiday on a great note. Congratulations and thank you !!!

Our stay at Pacific Bungalows was wonderful. The bungalows are located in a picturesque large garden/field and a really pleasant 10 minute walk into the main town, but far enough away to feel like a total retreat. The roof is thatched, and the sound of the thatch in the breeze and bird song was so relaxing! The host's house is nearby and Lea was on hand for any questions or help, but otherwise left us to enjoy the accomodation and enjoy Rapa Nui. Really lovely stay and highly recommend!

If location is important, I don't think there is a better choice on the island. Hostal Vieroto was located in town close to everything from grocery stores, restaurants and the sunset moai! I loved my stay here and highly recommend choosing the second-floor oceanfront room. When I wasn't on tour, I could enjoy my deck, the sunrise/sunset, and the ocean all day long. So thankful I picked this accommodation, the oceanfront room, and the host, Claudio, was especially helpful with airport transfers and setting up tours.

Everything. The welcoming on the airport. Hotel position (if you wish to be a bit away from noisy center). the big, comfortable and clean room with the see view. We spent six nights in this nice, practical house, and for us this was the perfect place to stay on the island. A little outside the village, made it an quiet accomodation. The house cosist of three rooms. Diningroom and kitchen. Here is all you need to do easy cooking. Bathroom is nice and practical. Sleepingroom with very comfortable bed. The hostess, Moana, was very friendly and helpful at all times during our stay. They both picked up when we arrived, and brought us the the airport when we left. We can highly recommened Cabanas Kainga.

We booked the hostel based on the fact that it had a pool that we could relax in the afternoon. For the 4 days we stayed it had been rented out for screaming children’s parties. I complained to the owner and said if we’d known we’d have chosen somewhere else. The accommodation was as described. Basic but clean and comfortable

Accommodations are simple but more than sufficient. The room was quite large. The grounds are very nice. Breakfast is very good, although do not expect a wide variety of options. The location is convenient to the city center.
