The hostess was very friendly and helpful. This is the first chateau that I have stayed in and it did not disappoint. It is a genuine old castle with lots of original features. An excellent meal was provided in the evening on the terrace and the breakfast in the morning was also good. I was cycling and I had no concerns about the safety of my bicycle within the castle walls. Airvault is a lovely town and just a few minutes walk away.

Lovely, comfortable, boutique bed and breakfast experience. Charming hosts, beautiful characterful home, spacious bedroom and breakfast with delicious home cooked (!) viennoiserie amongst other homemade produce. We got a great recommendation for a unique eating experience at a 'guingette' 15 mins drive away. The gorgeous pool and air conditioned room were both enormously welcome on another stupendously hot day. While it makes a great stop en route from N to S France or vice versa, the area was beautiful and once there, we wished we had the chance to stay longer -- I think we'll go back...
