We loved absolutely everything about this wee find. Came across it by chance and couldn’t believe how perfect it was for one overnight. The staff are probably the best there is in any stays I have recently stayed in and I travel a lot for work. When I first arrived myself , Simon the owner was over sitting with me, made me a pot of tea then took me a wee tour of the the premises before taking me to our room. Loved loved it and can’t wait to go back 💖

Beautifully fitted out with attention to detail. Comfortable and stylish furnishings, warm and cosy. Two bedrooms each with en-suite facilities. Plenty of hot water and fresh towels. The host left milk and breakfast items for us which were most appreciated. The cottage was centrally located and just a short walk to local shops etc. and not far from the castle.

Our stay was superb. Nothing was too much trouble and Ed our host was fantastic. Our room, Lover Buck Lodge was fantastic. The bathroom was spacious with a walk in shower and plenty of clean towels daily. The bed was the low type and very comfortable. There was a room heater, fan, hairdryer, iron and board. The breakfast hamper was full of items and sat on top of a mini fridge containing bottled milk and water. There was also a coffee maker and kettle with plenty of teas, coffees, sugar and biscuits. The wooden flooring added to the room and there was a small built in wardrobe plus a drawer unit. Due to the opening hours, we could only eat at the Lower Buck on one evening of ours 3 night stay. The food was superb from a good menu and the bar was fully stocked with spirits and ales All in all our stay receives 10/10. We shall definitely be back.

A very impressive building from the driveway. We were greeted with a lovely welcome in reception. Our room was lovely. Very comfortable and the views were amazing from two sides of the building. The food was delicious and they had a good selection of zero alchol drinks. Our bottle of Zero Freixenet was brought to us in an ice bucket which was a lovely touch and made it feel "Real ", which added to our enjoyment. Breakfast was lovely there was something for everyone. The lady on breakfast service was very happy and welcoming, and made us fee very at home. The chef too, was very friendly over the breakfast domes. A fantastic stay. We loved the lounge with the fireplace.

We had such a special bank holiday weekend at 1 The Stables. The cottage was lovely, cosy and a perfect base to relax. It is so central to the wonderful shops, market place and community of Clitheroe. Our host was most helpful prior to arrival with enquiries regarding our stay and we loved our welcome hospitality package of tea, coffee, milk, orange juice, Prosecco and even hot cross buns! Really liked that the property had parking too. We certainly hope to return.

Stayed for a night and wish we had booked more!! Absolutely stunning accommodation with amazing details and finishes throughout the place. We met the owners who were so welcoming and it was nice to sit by the fire in the restaurant having a drink. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much :)

stayed for 2 nights to attended my nephews wedding at Shireburn Arms which was a 20 min stroll away - lovely peaceful spotlessly clean accommodation which was perfect for what we wanted - very helpful staff - wouild have loved to stay longer and see more of the lovely grounds

The house is immaculate! You can see the castle from the windows in the top bedroom. It was so comfortable. This was a last minute booking due to a different accommodation falling through, and she could not of been more accommodating! Perfect stay from start to end!
