Accommodation in Marmarion

I don't know where to start. I haven't had such a good experience for a long time. The property is a family business and as a visitor you can see and feel it every minute. You are welcome and you are treated as a friend. Staff is always there when you need them and help you with whatever you may need. I did not hear "no" as an answer although I had many questions about different services and things which were not even related to the hotel. So they do not only care about the hotel but also about the place they are operating in. Hotel is located in Marmari which is a small village in Evia. You can Rafina-Marmari ferry to get there. From the port it's reachable by foot, but if you have a lot of things or have some trouble walking I would recommend to take a taxi as the hotel is located on top of the hill and the road is pretty steep. Our room was perfect. It was big enough and had a balcony facing the sea and the pool. Breakfast was simple but good. I would suggest to have an option to order a proper cappuccino for an extra fee as they make great coffee, but the one they have for breakfast is not as good. Pool is fantastic. Water is clean and not too warm. And what is absolutely brilliant - they are not using usual chloride but some kind of salt, so the water is gentle for eyes does not leave any bad smell to your swimwear. And now we get to the biggest surprise. I have been really sceptical about hotel restaurant and I still will be in the future, but this poolside restaurant was something different. It all starts with great people who work with passion. The service there was spot on and should be an example to many restaurants. The food was DELICIOUS! We did not plan to eat there that much, but found ourselves having a dinner two times + some snacks as well. And if you want to have your food paired with a good wine, ask for John who will find the perfect match to your appetiser, main or dessert.

The property is fully equipped with everyone a guest might need. It is very comfortable and cozy and the hosts are very thoughtful making sure the guests are provided with any amenities. The view from the window is great.

The property is easy to locate via Google Maps, though it is not signed. It is a studio apartment in a residential complex and there is a parking space outside. It's a good location, just 1 km from Marmari. We were in touch with the hostess before arrival and someone was waiting for us when we got there. The studio has a nice stone-look floor and a comfortable double bed. It is cool and airy, so despite a daytime high of 34C the temperature inside was fine, especially with the fan. Coffee, tea and sugar are provided, as are liquid soap and shampoo. There were also two small bottles of water in the fridge.

The house is very nice, with a big living room, a nice area outside where you can see the sunset on the see, and right dimensioned rooms. The position is perfect for walking distance activities in Marmari and to visit the southern part of Evia by car

Great accommodation, beautiful apartment. Very accommodating owner (Flora). We have never had such complete facilities at any accommodation anywhere in the world. The apartment had full kitchen appliances including espresso machine, toaster, toaster, frappe maker, kettle and other usual things. The dishes were completely furnished, which is not the rule. We were also pleasantly surprised by the fact that in the room we had honey, jams, crackers, biscuits, capsules for espresso machines, butter, sugar, but also olive oil, wine vinegar, spices, simply everything you can think of to make a salad, food , just flawless. Likewise, cosmetics in the bathroom. We really appreciate that we haven't found a single thing missing yet. Nice place with a small garden shared by 3 apartments. It was a few minutes walk to the town promenade and there were shops and the harbor and restaurants. Great dining options nearby. Very easily accessible from Athens airport. Just drive 20 minutes to Rafina port and then take the ferry to the place. The ferry costs 49 Euros for a car with two passengers. Great beaches nearby, one of the most beautiful for kiters and surfing. But also beaches where there are few people and beautiful sea. We will definitely be happy to return and are already looking forward to meeting the owner, who made an excellent impression on us and made us feel at home. So next time for a longer stay... we can only recommend it and we will be happy if you are as satisfied here as we are. We have been going to Greece for over 20 years, so we have something to judge and on a scale of 1-10 we give a rating of 12 :)

Everything is brand new! And you got everything in your room to make yourself comfortable. There is a super market in 50 metres. Go and visit this place!
