Accommodation in Scalea

The location near the beach and within walking distance to the old town is great. The terrace overlooking the sea is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a really great local restaurant, Pizzeria la Playa, nearby where we enjoyed a delicious meal served by attentive waiters. This is a place to revisit.

Very good location, everything is nearby: the historical city center, shops, cafes and the sea, The apartment is very clean, with a view of the sea and the historical center from the balcony. The room has a very comfortable bed and a large wardrobe, modern renovation. Vittorio is the best owner of the apartments, he picked us up in his car at the railway station, the breakfasts were very tasty (continental or sweet) and delicious orange juice. On the ground floor of the building there is a restaurant "Corsaro", where the food is delicious and the service is excellent. Scalea is a wonderful city, I really hope that we will return there.

Breakfast was a selection of sweet pastries, packaged toasted bread with condiments, juice, and expresso. It is brought to you in your room on a tray. The lady that came each day to provide the breakfast and clean the rooms was a delight. I never asked, but its seems like she may have been the wife of the man that had arrived to book me in. I heard no other people staying there when i was there. it seems maybe there is about 3-4 rooms. Its a very well presented, modernised house in the old town.

Without doubt the best place we have stayed in Scalea in 16 years We have been visiting Scalea for 16 years, and TraMonti e Mare is without doubt the best accommodation we have stayed in during all that time. The location is superb, right in the heart of the beautiful Centro Storico and just beside Piazza Maggiore De Palma, one of our favourite little squares in old Scalea. You step outside and you are immediately among the atmospheric old streets, restaurants and bars that make this part of Scalea so special. We stayed in the lower-level apartment and absolutely loved it. The real surprise was discovering the secret lower level — an amazing additional space that gives the apartment so much character and makes it feel completely unique. It was one of those little discoveries that genuinely makes a stay memorable. The apartment itself was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, comfortable and clearly finished with a lot of thought and attention to detail. Despite being right in the historic centre, it also feels peaceful and private. A special mention must go to Francesco and Enerlida, who were two fabulous hosts. They could not have been more welcoming or helpful throughout our stay, particularly with their advice and recommendations on places to visit, eat and enjoy around Scalea. Their genuine warmth and local knowledge added enormously to our experience and made us feel completely at home. Having stayed in many different places in Scalea over the past 16 years, we can genuinely say this one stands out. The combination of the location, quality of the accommodation, character of the building, the fantastic hidden lower level and, most importantly, the wonderful hospitality from Francesco and Enerlida made our stay very special. An easy 10/10 for us and the first place we will look to book when we return to Scalea. Highly recommended.

Nice and clean, i found everything i needed for short stay

big and clean room with perfect view from the window/balcony 😉 everything looks fresh, free water in the fridge, shower gel and soap... check in fast, owner very kind, have a bar near apartments, even with vegan food options. Quite place, near wine bar with lovely music from oldies 😉 all perfect for short or long stay.
