A large and modern apartment in a good location. We really enjoyed having a separate lounge room and the large balcony was a bonus. We are cycle touring and appreciated being able to securely store our bicycles overnight. The apartment was presented beautifully. It was a little bit further from the historic centre and eateries than we have had in other towns but that's a trade off we have to make because of the bicycles.

Tenuta Lagala is perfectly situated just outside the marvellous little town of Venosa (literally a 2 minute drive) and offers a relaxing, elegant stay set amongst the beautiful nature of Basilicata - a region that deserves more and more of everyone’s attention! Our room was very cute and comfortable and we ate so, so well both for lunch and at breakfast. Of course what really makes this place so special is the incredible artisanal wine production they do. From their beautiful vines they produce a series of quite simply world class wines that should be tasted and discovered by all wine lovers! What tops it all off is that the owners are very kind, genuine and informative and they have a created the perfect place to escape to for a few days in the Southern Italian countryside. We can’t wait to return!

Roberto is a fantastic and very gentle owner. Meet him on time for keys release . He gave us a full support during our stay in Venosa. Very nice , quite and clean apartment with free wi-fi and just 1 min walking from the castle in the city center. The apartment was excellent with a nice view over the city roofs. Coffe and tea available with cookies for a quick breakfast. Robert help us to park our motorbike in his garage nearby

Very central location close to bars and restaurants. Newly refurbished, very comfortable and very clean. The host, Giusy, was exceptional. She was very kind welcoming. She helped us with the organisation of our stay, our tours in the area and in booking the restaurant. She kindly accommodated our request of a late checkout with a smile.

Elegant accommodations in a historic palazzo within walking distance of the castle as well as the Roman archaeological site. The room was spacious and well furnished, a buffet breakfast was provided in a beautiful dining room. This breakfast offered the BEST cappuccino of all the many hotels we’ve stayed in Italy. The parking is right in front of the building. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

We found this lovely hotel by accident, and quite simply it is one of the best stays we have ever had. Amazing hospitality; the breath taking selection of cakes given to us when we arrived; the kindness in finding us a restaurant and taking us there; the amazing quality and dazzling range of food served for breakfast; the new regional food we were introduced to; and the amazing generosity was stupendous. Do go you won't be disappointed.

5 stars for this fantastic winery stay! The ownders were incredibly kind and fun, the food was exceptional, the wine even better! I loved talking with the owners, the room and facilities were beautifully done and very clean. I wish I could have stayed longer. Parking is available, the pool area is lovely and very relaxing, the breakfast which is included in your stay is so delicious and there is nothing better than a glass of wine looking over the vines that produced them! Loved this accommodation!

Excellent apartment, renovated, stylish and a great design, very well equipped (including coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine). Additional cleaning during 5 day staying was a bonus. Central location and possible to park the car in front of the apartment most of the time.

This bright, pleasing apartment in the heart of Venosa is spotlessly clean, comfortable and welcoming. It’s on two levels and is simply and tastefully furnished. The owner is friendly and very helpful. this is our second brief stay and we would definitely choose this accommodation again.
