The dinner and the breakfast were really good; the room and the onsen were amazing

Everything was perfect, the Private Onsen, the room and the service the dinner was delicious and the public spaces like the Onsen and the Bar was perfect and I was allowed at night in the public onsen despite being tattoed

Buffet food was amazing!!! Surprisingly wide selection of food - top quality! No queue for breakfast!

Staying in ryokan was enjoyable experience. Dinner consisted of 9 small courses, each of them had been prepared with passion and amazing amount of effort in every little detail. But in our case the most amazing went far beyond this level of hospitality. We messed up with an address of golf club and we sent our golf bags to the wrong club to be delivered next day after stay in Kyuan Hakone. We only realised it at 5 p.m. a day before the tee time. We explained it at reception of ryokan. To make the long story short they did a miracle together with shipping company and resolved our mistake. Many thanks to the patience and to the high professionalism of the team. It was our second day in Japan and this was unbeatable experience. Arigato gozaimasu.

Amazing location, spa and great value for money.

Everything is gorgeous and worth visiting. We had a pleasant stay at Gora Kansuiro, it is aesthetic pleasure, the garden was so beautiful during the momiji season, baths are superb for relaxation, we loved the rotenburo. Dinner was the best during our stay in Japan. I loved the serving, everything was so beautifully decorated, with traditional paper and ceramics. The food was beyond expectations, I especially loved meat. Sashimi and tempura were also delicious. Thank you for body and soul pleasure.

Available last minute for a very reasonable price, the place is huge! A lot of space, all the modern confort you need. A lot of products and towels, 2 TVs...

Extremely clean and comfort, almost cannot wale up due to the comfy of the bed

I loved the cozy Japanese interior. The property was spacious and well-decorated. We used it as a base to explore Hakone with a large group of friends. There were restaurants, onsen, and konbini close by. All in all, it was a very comfortable and fun stay. We were with 13 people and the size was more than enough.

As soon as we entered the home we felt a sense of calm. It is perfectly located 1 minute walk from the Koen-Shimo cable car stop and 5 minutes from the main Gora station.

Stunning accommodation with so much room! I loved the downstairs bedroom/bathroom suite. My son slept upstairs, and another son slept in the separate, self-contained dwelling. It was probably a bit big for our needs, but gosh, it was a treat after some smaller accommodation choices. The kitchen is well resourced and all essentials available. 👌

The guest was super nice with us, she waited for us and was open to have a long chat during the evening while she prepared delicious tea.

We had a wonderful stay at this unique and well-equipped property. The house itself is full of character, and the host has clearly put a lot of thought into providing great facilities, conveniences, and thoughtful extra touches throughout. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen and entertainment area made it a perfect place to relax after a long day of travelling and sightseeing. Everything felt welcoming and easy to use. The host was friendly, responsive, and quick to answer any questions, which made the experience even smoother. It’s just a shame we only stayed for one night — we would have happily stayed longer!

A house with history, and a mix of modern convenience. Very spacious, great location outside of the hustle and bustle but near to a couple of attractions, public transport, restaurant and shops. Easy access and good communication from hosts.

Spacious, warm and comfortable. Outdoor hot tub is a bonus. Plenty of amenities were provided too.
