Route Inn App is very useful for check-in. Welcoming check^in with a good explanation of the facilities. Wifi was easy to access, and at a high speed. Good location close to the main highway. Large car park. Good-sized, clean and well-equipped room with comfortable beds. Usual filling breakfast with a good choice of menu. Evening restaurant serves great meals, good range of foods, and excellent value.
ART HOTEL Kashima Central
The reasonably priced hotel yet the room is much bigger and comfortable. The hotel building is next to the onsen, public bath was a huge bonus! A few restaurants and cafe within the building. What was amazing was there was a proper bus station with a waiting room/seats that loops between tokyo central area and the hotel, direct bus is available!!

Lovely old house that feels like it was an actual home. Aged but well taken care of. One western style bedroom and 2 tatami rooms for futons. Air conditioning throughout with both heating and cooling functions. Large living/dining room with sofas and courtyard garden which looked reasonably well maintained. Parking space. Modern toilet, separate dressing/sink area, and a large, deep bathtub with auto-fill technology. About 10min walk from the Katori Shrine where a bus is available to/from the train station. Clear instructions from the host so we were easily able to get the keys. Nice space for our small group to hang out in the living area while having our privacy in separate bedrooms. Would expect it to be very suitable for a family.

We had the entire apartment to ourselves, and it had been newly renovated. Everything was modern, spotless, and beautifully designed. The location by the river was lovely and peaceful. The bathroom was spacious, with a beautiful bathtub that was perfect for relaxing. By Japanese standards, the two beds were large and very comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

NIPPONIA Sawara Merchant Town Hotel
The hotel is composed by various buildings located in different places of the city. Check in is done at reception where all information is provided. Parking easily available. Accomodation was so charming, with all what we could need, minibar fully stocked and design. Very quiete night at Shippou along the river and away from the road. Even in winter, no cold in the room to sleep nicely. Staff are doing their best to help and have a good stay. Restaurant LE UN, where breakfast is served as well, is Top Class and food delicious. City is really charming and worth discovery thanks to the map provided by the Hotel and local shops easily found (coffee, souvenirs, sake, soy sauce, etc)
