Accommodations in Kamiichi

Situated next to the mountainous area of Tateyama, you can almost see the peak from your open window through the countryside. What a sight to behold in Toyama. The location is super convenient as its right opposite Aeon hypermarket and another local mall, and there's even 7-Eleven outlet next to the site. Great for families travelling on a budget and still want the convenience and comfort of staying close to the mountain region and get a feel of the Japanese countryside.

Wonderful Staff!! Very friendly and welcoming, i never felt rushed. The dinner was delicious and great, but the breakfast was HUGE and Amazing!! 😍😍 The onsen was a step back into time... Several indoor and outdoor baths to choose from... The main ones being slightly, slimy brown therapeutic waters. The property is older, yet maintained well by a dedicated staff. A bit of f the path, if traveling by train. The view out of the window in the morning was stunning...with a panoramic view of the Japanese Alps!!

Aside from the ultra comfortable bed & great amenities at the best rate around toyama area, the owner is incredibly kind and has the soul of a traveller. He's more interested in meeting people from different walks of life than the business aspect of it and it translates in his actions towards his guests. When he has the time and means, he went through extra lengths for the guests like sending them off at the station, eating together, and bringing guests to the nearby ocean for fishing/catching squids experience etc. I have travelled far and wide, this kind of genuine hospitality is really hard to come by. Im glad i stayed the night here and will cherish the memory and friendship forever. Give it a go, you wont regret it. P.s.: Owner speaks fluent english

Perfect location for us as we needed to stay one night to visit family in Namerikawa. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Great public area at entrance for gathering. The breakfast was amazing. Wonderful food and pleasant dining area.

Absolutely gorgeous home! As a westerner, the traditional japanese style was breathtaking. This home is very spacious for 2 people and there were so many incredible details to the property. Best of all, our host, Mizuho went above and beyond to help us with our stay. We took the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route to Nagano early in the morning on the day we checked out. Mizuho helped us plan out our journey and she offered to drive us to the train station very early in the morning. It was very generous of her and made our trip through the route possible when we had trouble scheduling a taxi. She is a wonderful host and we had a fantastic stay.
