Accommodation in Karatsu

The staff were very welcoming and helpful, giving us great recommendations. Central location very close to the pottery area. Retro vibes.

Everything. The cute and comfy yukata. The traditional Japanese style room had a nice retro vibe, with a traditional low table and sliding doors separating the main room from the small one with the river view. The public bath was spacious and clean. The lounge had a great variety of drinks and snacks.

The room and the direct location by the sea. The food was great, but a little much fish for breakfast. The staff was fantastic.

I really liked the warm and cosy design of the room, which was very spacious, comfortable and outfitted with new and modern amenities. The sea view from the room is fantastic! The property is cosy and intimate with excellent meals that are well-organised and delicious! Amazing room. Modern and appealing and comfortable.

Very good ryokan in attractive location overlooking river and then Karatsu. Local bus stop outside provided easy option to bus and train station. Very good support by friendly and knowledgeable Maeda and other staff. Having e-bikes with helmets available to hire was another valuable feature of what proved to be a lovely introduction to Kyushu. Suggest taking advantage of being near Sakamoto for dinner, but most importantly recommend booking the option of breakfasts which were fabulous

I was about to check out on 29th Aug but was caught with a typhoon due to which all public transport was suspended. I had to extend my stay. The stay was as comfortable as my previous days of stay. It is privileged that there is a 7-11 convenience store very close to the hotel. The hotel was a good harbour for me during the uncertain situation outside.

The price was good and the free bicycle was excellent for exploring Karatsu.

Super well organised. Room was spotlessly clean. Staff were very welcoming. Everything you need in the room...fridge, microwave, kettle etc One of the containers had a laundry, vending machines. Next to a 7-Eleven.

Susie, the host is very nice and good at English.She will tell you the history of this wonderful city. Also, she drove me to the JR Station when I could not get a taxi. The environment is nice and cozy, feel like being at home. I highly recommend this cozy home to you.

Absolutely amazing to experience an authentic Japanese ryokan with incredible traditional breakfast. So pleased I discovered this place. The staff were extremely helpful and made you feel like part of the family. Room was huge and bed was very comfortable. I appreciated being able to make a private booking for the onsen and have it all to myself. If you have a car, definitely visit the Okawachiyama pottery village. Stunning pottery in a very picturesque location. Staying at this ryokan was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Japan.

New and modern big apartment with all necessary facilities. Suitable for up to 4 persons. Well located close to the train station and town center.

The food was the best of any Ryokan I've ever staged in. We were treated to local delicacies, prepared by skilled practitioners. The staff were also very accommodating and hospitable. Would highly recommend. And the space was clean, large, modern, and comfortable.
