This is a fantastic authentic mountain stay The property is original and filled with period furniture and personal belongings The host was amazing and despite the fact we were the only guests in the autumn season, spoiled us with an amazing dinner and breakfast and despite our language barrier was keen to get to know us and about our travels If you are looking for an original lodge in the mountains this is a great place to stay We didn’t use the Onsen and the only extra charge was for towels which we were happy to pay Perfect spot for a bike tour to stay

One of my favourite stays in Japan! Very kind owners. Beautiful and clean room with view on the river. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was included.

All very clean, very friendly and welcoming. A lovely big Japanese room with clean futon sets. Onsen is not too big but clean and not too busy. The dinner and breakfast were so well made, with all local ingredients, could see and taste all prepared with great care. We also loved the fact that it was so healthy and not too heavy. Coffee at their lovely Japanese breakfast was a real bonus too!

Hanasaku Onsen Yoshiyaso has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Katashina. This 2-star ryokan offers luggage storage space. The ryokan features family rooms.

The two people who ran the hotel were extremely nice and friendly, and their cats were also lovely to see. The area is very secluded and peaceful, very idyllic. The shuttle service between Yumoto-Onsen and the hotel was an absolute lifesaver.

Outstanding place in the magical japanese mountains with fabulous Onsens. Friendliest staff. Delicious japanese food. Cozy, large and clean rooms. Exciting hiking to frozen waterfall and stargazing event. It was a wonderful experience! Thank you very much!
