Itambira Seeds of Hope has been one of the most special places we stayed at during our 2 month East Africa trip. Lake Bunyonyi and the islands are gorgeous to begin with. Seeds of Hope had very decent and good quality amenities: comfy beds, proper mosquitoe net (in Africa you will find out that not every mosquitoe net provided is functional, some of them won't cover the whole bed...etc. that wasn't the case), hot water. Yes, there were specific hours when they provided hot water and internet but that was understandable given the fact that you are really in a remote place. Overall the staff was a bit too serious (I was wondering if they were happy to live/work there) but cordial. The island is lovely to explore. Make sure you go up and visit the tiny school. The teacher lady there does an amazing job and you can even get to spend time with the kids. The views are gorgeous. We did the Batwa pygmy people tour which was nice (especially the sailing part) but a bit overrated. Instead stay here 2 nights min to relax, unwind, read and recover in between tiring periods of your trip. Totally worth it.

The place and my stay were more than wonderful. The staff, especially Hillary, was very helpful in all. He picked me with the boat and arranged all, what was a bit hard for me - for free! Never even asked or waited for some "pocket change". Comparing to other resorts around, Paradise Beach has very, very good rates and it offers all what you desire: boat trips, nature walks, canoeing and even tribal experience. Dorothy, the housekeeper, made every day a wonderful breakfast for me. I prolonged my stay to enjoy more time here and to work a bit. All facilities worked very well, so that also my agenda and office work could be done - yet you are fully in nature! I read the comments posted recently and must say, that I dont understand, how somebody likes to complain about small little things, which you normally experience everywhere in Uganda - but really not in Paradise Beach: Because any small problem is immediately solved by the staff. E.g.: I looked for a socket of 220V - Hillary showed me the place and also allowed me to work from their private office space. Overall, Paradise Beach exceeded my expectations on 100 percent, because I expected much less comfort for the little money I paid per night. You can see, that the place is made and run with love and passion. I can only recommend a stay and would advice at least a stay of 2 - 3 nights, to get the vibes of Paradise Resort, of Kigezi Highlands, Lake Bunyonyi and the BaKiga people. Definitely I will come back again.

Wonderful, relaxing location with interesting history. The private cottages were quite spacious with a large balcony from which you can enjoy views of Lake Bunyoni. The staff worked hard to make the time there enjoyable and the meals were large and interesting.

The location is great; small island in lake Bunyonyi, perfect to disconnect for some days from the busy Kampala. There is not much to do around, but that fits perfect if what you are looking for is peace and quiet. The lodge has a private swimming deck to the lake- highly recommended to go for a swim there! And shoutout to the library they have- it made by day when I got there. They also provide with free Black Tea in case you fancy that as companion to the reading, appart from the great views. The profits from the lodge go back to the island communities, so we paid dinner with pleasure.

The food was excellent, the ambience was excellent, I cant even start to describe the host efficiency and attention to detail. We got there quite early in the morning but they were ready for us to the last detail. The place is a paradise just like its name, plenty of birds and scenery that is to die for. There is plenty of activities that we never had time for. Definitely going back for a longer stay
