Unique stay and experience in the Fogo caldeira- family owned and operated and authentic. The staff were helpful and kind - they added to the experience. Think skies void of light pollution- perfect for star gazing (bring layers!), hikes and time free to take in the unique otherworldly landscape. If going to the caldeira, spending a night or 2 here is definitely recommended

The best customer service! The host Lea was super helpful before we even got there. She answered all my questions very quickly and provided lots of information. They arranged the shuttle service for us as well as a guide to climb up the volcano. João himself is a guide and you can book him. Obviously the location is perfect and you have a beautiful view of the volcano right from the room. Make sure to eat at Isabella's next door, her food is delicious and she was such a warm and wonderful person. All in all it was a wonderful experience!

After a long tour of Cabo Verde, it good to relax in the high of Fogo. Swimming pool, nice campaign around. Very peace full. Very comfortable bed. Nice and cool place. Efficient team. Thank u every body.

The View is a boutique hotel set high on a cliff, just north of São Filipe. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the town, it is a wonderful place to stay as your base for exploring Fogo Island. It was built as a home, a mansion, really, but the owner decided to turn it into a hotel. The finishings are top-notch. The definite highlight for us was the kindness of Waldo, the manager of the property. He couldn’t do enough for us. His offers of assistance were genuine. We had decided not to drive up to the crater in our rental car because we thought the drive would be too difficult. But he shared details with us about the route, and in the end, we felt confident enough to tackle it, thanks to him. It turned out to be the highlight of our entire vacation to Cabo Verde. He has a gift for hospitality and his care of your stay will add a lot to your experience.
