This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. It offers free WiFi. Beautiful location. Clean room. Very lovely breakfast with homemade specialty jams etc. that even included vegan options (when requested). Staff was very kind and helpful. Contactless check-in when you come outside of check-in hours. A perfect place to rest up and enjoy nature. Parking was available and pets were allowed. Even though we didn't bring any we love meeting others' pets on holidays.

Boasting a sauna, Residenz Hugo is situated in Bad Schandau. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Property was clean, tidy, functional and exceptional. Owners allowed us to drop our bags early and we could wait in the lobby until the room was ready. After an overnight sleeper train this was very much appreciated. Our room (very spacious) came with fully equipped kitchen, which was especially handy as we like to cook during vacations. The best thing about our stay was the sauna (included in the price). Location was perfect. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond for us. Short walk from train station and the walking track up to the fortress is just across the road. It offered a wide variety of options, and everything was fresh and delicious. It was a great way to start the day. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located place with excellent service. I will definitely be returning!

Our apartment on the top floor was bright and airy, beautifully furnished, very clean and comfortable. Great cafe downstairs and very good bakery across the street. Host was very friendly and helpful. Great location.
