The buffet-style breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, and the staff was incredible in explaining the public transportation to me, how to operate the elevator, and recommending their rooftop restaurant or an Italian restaurant nearby. The room was spotless, decently sized, and very comfortable.

I cannot wait to return to Oslo, simply to stay at Sommerro. Do yourself a favour and enjoy a weekend at this art deco paradise!

The location and proximity to the tram, bus, and metro are all too convenient for jumping on a ride to the town centre, Oslo's central train station, and scenic location. Above all, it is a peaceful location, and the friendly staff made my day, especially Mercel and Maya. The breakfast spread was amazing.

I absolutely loved my stay at this apartment — it truly felt like a home away from home. The host had thoughtfully set up the heating to turn on before my return each day, so I always came back to a warm and cozy space. The hot water was also perfectly arranged — I didn’t have to lift a finger to make anything work. I chose this place because I wanted to avoid hotels, and it was exactly what I needed. The location is excellent, close to the train station, yet in a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. The apartment itself was spotless, with a comfortable bed, a cozy sofa to relax on, a nice TV, and strong internet. The kitchen had everything I needed for cooking my own meals, which made my stay even more convenient. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, always making sure everything was just right. Accessing the apartment was simple — the host provided a video and clearly labeled photos that made check-in a breeze. Of all the apartments I’ve stayed in around the world, this one truly stands out — I honestly can’t fault it in any way. It catered to all my needs and exceeded my expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The place is very artistic, with lots of small details that really stand out—beautiful paintings, creative artwork, and thoughtfully designed lighting throughout the space. It has a unique and cozy atmosphere that makes it feel special rather than generic. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming, which added a personal touch to the experience. Another big plus is the location: there are plenty of cheap eating options nearby, including halal food. The hotel is also very convenient, just about a 10-minute walk from the central station. Overall, a great choice for travelers who appreciate art, comfort, and a good location at a reasonable price.

It’s less than a 10-minute walk from the metro, with multiple metro stations nearby, making it very easy to get around using public transport. The host was extremely welcoming and responsive throughout our stay, and even left thoughtful touches like snacks, coffee, and hot chocolate for us. There’s honestly nothing negative to say. Tip for future guests: if you’re arriving with luggage and using the metro, getting off at Manglerud is easier since the walk to the apartment is downhill. Highly recommended!
