Hunza Lounge - A Gem in the Hunza Valley My friends and I recently took a vacation to the stunning Hunza Valley region in northern Pakistan. We needed comfortable accommodation for 4 people in a quiet location, with good service. That's when we came upon the Hunza Lounge hotel, and I'm so glad we chose to stay there. Set apart from the main bazaar area but still within easy walking distance, the Hunza Lounge provided the peaceful seclusion we wanted. Our room had spectacular views of the valley through large windows. From the moment we arrived, the owner Mr. Naushaad welcomed us with his warm, gracious manner. He gave a thorough tour of the lovely property and made many restaurant and activity recommandations. The owner, Mr. Naushaad, was a wonderful host. He made us feel right at home and even let us use the kitchen to cook a big group dinner one night. Also crucial to our excellent experience was Amir, like the head caretaker. Amir truly went above and beyond. Every request was catered to with Amir's warmth and care. When one friend fell ill, Amir spent hours ensuring comfort including medication runs. He really made us feel part of the Hunza Lounge family. Mr. Naushaad and Amir elevated our 'trip' with their exemplary hospitality. The personal touches and above service are what made the Hunza Lounge stand out from all else. I cannot recommend it more highly for anyone visiting the area. A special highlight - we adopted an orphaned kitten from the bazaar that Amir and Mr. Naushaad happily welcomed to stay at the hotel too. I have no doubt she's still living the good life there! The privacy, hospitality and breathtaking surroundings alone would be worth the stay. As it happened, the cost was also very reasonable for the quality provided. I highly recommend the Hunza Lounge and will definitely return myself. A massive thanks to Amir and the whole team for their charming service.

Boasting a garden and free WiFi, White Apricot Lodge is situated in Baltit. There is a restaurant serving Chinese cuisine, and free private parking is available. We stayed here overnight just for a sleepover, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The hotel is centrally located in Altit, very close to the bazar and Altit Fort — a great spot for exploring the area. I booked it because the price was so affordable, but everything exceeded expectations. The courtyard had enough parking space, and we were given a balcony room with a beautiful view of the mountains. The room was clean, and all the amenities worked perfectly — including plugs, fans, hot water with good pressure, and the shower. Our host, Jawair Ali, was extremely kind and accommodating. He served us a nice breakfast and even ironed my clothes. The stay was definitely well worth the price, and if I’m ever in Altit again, I’ll gladly stay here.

Set in Skardu, Skarchan Resort Skardu features a shared lounge, terrace and BBQ facilities. There is a restaurant serving Chinese cuisine, and free private parking is available. We loved the hotel for many reasons really. The views were the main attraction. But then the rooms and hotel were superb. The staff were super friendly and attentive to all our needs. The food was outstanding, so no need to explore other places to eat. As all their food is cooked to order, meaning it’s super fresh and organic. We also very much enjoyed the tours they organised for us. The driver and tour guide were amazing, and put the cherry on the cake for us. We had a great time at Skarchan, and are already looking forward to our next trip there.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just a place to sleep — it was an experience of peace, nature, and warm hospitality. The villa itself is beautifully designed — cozy, clean, and thoughtfully decorated with traditional Balti touches that give it both character and charm. Waking up to panoramic views of the mountains and the sound of flowing water was the kind of peaceful moment I didn’t know I needed. What stood out most, though, was the service. The staff were incredibly welcoming — not just polite, but genuinely kind. They were always ready with a cup of chai, local stories, or travel tips that made exploring Skardu even more meaningful. The food? Deliciously homemade! Every meal felt personal — from freshly cooked parathas at breakfast to traditional Balti dishes for dinner. The best part was the villa’s location — close enough to explore famous spots like Shangrila Resort, Upper Kachura Lake, and Shigar Fort, yet secluded enough to feel like your own private hideaway in the mountains. Whether you’re a solo traveler, a couple seeking quiet, or a group chasing northern adventure, Creek Villa offers something special: a slice of Skardu that feels like home.

Set in Karimabad Hunza, Hunza Backpacker Inn has a garden. Free private parking is available and the hostel also offers bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. The owner is absolutely fantastic, helpful, kind. The place itself is in the center, the view is amazing. The rooms are big, clean and the property quiet. It's not luxurious , but you feel at home. The bed was very comfortable. Electricity is not 24h but you can still charge your devices any time you want.

North Fields Resorts in Skardu features a garden and a terrace. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. We got free breakfast in our room as per our schedule, the owner Shabbir was the kindest and made all the efforts to make our stay comfortable. The view was amazing, the owner had his own cars, that too on a reasonable rates so we never had to run after any driver or tour guide. Will again choose the same resort for my stay!
