His hospitality and attentiveness were outstanding, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. I can’t recommend Casa dos Bijos enough, this place is a hidden gem. Upon arrival we had high hopes for the week long stay we booked for our family. The cottages themselves are lovely. But the rest of our stay was a disaster.

The property is non-smoking and is located 600 metres from Municipal Library of Elvas. We liked everything. The host was very communicative and the place was superb, we really enjoyed our stay there and we will definitely comeback anytime soon.

The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. Large, comfortable beds and the bathroom had walk in powerful showers! One of the best accommodations we have stayed in. Breakfast had everything you could ask for, from fresh fruits to scrambled eggs and 'bacon', melt in the mouth croissants and pastel de nata. Parking is on-street, but the street is very quiet.

Perched on the side of a hill, with lovely views across the orchard fields and river, to the hills beyond. 100+ year old building, perfectly renovated, with excellent modern amenities, without losing the charm. Really lovely spaces to hang-out in, eat the delicious breakfast in. Swimming pool and terrace for floating in. Super attentive, friendly, helpful manager and staff. We came back from a long bike ride and were greeted with glasses of homemade lemonade. Top place in our two weeks roaming in Portugal.
