Wow, this new "Bed and Breakfast" was an extraordinary six night stay because of the people, facility and breakfasts. The owners were very personable, warm, and helpful. Their facility was very clean and tidy. The bed and bedding was luxurious. There were electrical receptacles near the bed for our phones. The shower has both a wand and large rain shower head with lots of hot water. The bathroom mirror was heated. There is a large common area with a refrigerator, a large table, dishes and cutlery for coffee/tea and quick snacks, a microwave and sofas. The veranda with our room was spacious for peaceful morning sun. The windows and doors have screens although there were no mosquitos. The WIFI was strong with a security password. Barbara's breakfasts were always fresh with tremendous variety. We loved the just-squeezed orange juice, eggs, pancakes, homemade spicy hummus and jams, Greek style yogurt, breads, pastry, fruit, cereals, herbal teas and cheese. We asked Andreas, our host many detailed questions about Faial and the Azores. He always took the time to explain the background, history and traditions that make the Azores a nature lover's superb outdoor destination. This personal touch added a lot of meaning to our visit. The location was quiet and only a 10 minute drive to the modern Continente grocery store or restaurants in Horta; and, 12 minutes to the airport.

The appartement was very comfortable and perfevtly equiped. We enjoyed the breakfast before departing to Pico from the harbour. Well located for a walk to the Monte da Guia.

The Hosts were very kind and helpful, they made us feel like at home. Upon request we even got a breakfast to go! Excellent breakfast and nice to eat at our own little terrace. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Close to nature, with birds all around and some cats. Appreciated the calm :)

The house is lovely and has wonderful grounds to enjoy. We had one rainy morning in which we read our books in the sitting room area, which was cozy and quiet. The breakfast was very nicely appointed as well. We had the family room, which was larger than we needed, but allowed us to spread out nicely. We would have liked to stay for longer!

Everything :) We had an amazing experience at the chalet, just a 20-minute walk from the airport. Lucia, our host, made our stay truly special. She welcomed us with homemade cakes – Christmas cake, Carnaval cake – and provided everything we needed, from coffee and tea to eggs and honey. The 3-room chalet was perfect and very cosy. Highly recommend! 🌟

Comfortable Accommodations: Casa BuonVento in Horta offers a guest house with free WiFi, parquet floors, and sea views. Some rooms include a private bathroom, work desk, and wardrobe. Very friendly and knowledgeable hosts, all their tips were spot-on and helped us make the most of our short stay on Faial (2 nights). The house is beautifully renovated and decorated. The communal kitchen is well equipped and organised, with ckearly marked separate storage spaces for each of the rooms. This is a wonderful pkace to spend a few nights or even a week in Horta.
