Clean and comfortable.
Clean and comfortable. We didn't get a chance to use the pool or sauna/hot tub or walk the trails as we were in the area for The Mariposa Festival (Orillia) but they were there to enjoy!
Note this condo is 3 flights up for those that may need to. know if that makes a difference.
Overall opinion, nice place to stay!

I Do Not Recommend Horseshoe Valley Victoria Suites and this location. Management and the Hosts at this location are not available in person nor by phone call to speak with you or resolve any problems or concerns. They only contact you by text which is not timely, especially if there is a problem or issue. They were unethical and deceptive when responding to me by text. They failed to deal with a dirty suite, not cleaned prior to check in, and not available at 4.00 p.m. as per booking specifications. They expected me to wait outside, in the heat, in the parking lot until they sent a cleaning team to the Suite? I have travelled extensively, used Booking.com successfully with no previous problems. I have never experienced the dismissive, lack of caring, deceptive, unethical treatment that I experienced here. I requested a refund and Management at this location continues their deception and lies to avoid providing the requested refund. I will pursue this as I can provide photos, evidence and witnesses to this disgraceful situation. Hopefully I can also protect other travellers too. Carol Murphy, Oakville, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦

Orillia is a lovely little community
We knew the area well from previous trips
There is a shortage of restaurants close to the resort so you need to branch out
Wasaga beach is lovely but if busy you need to make reservations

barrie is vary nice we were there for the u15 girls softball...
barrie is vary nice we were there for the u15 girls softball tournament the ball fields were nice however was a bit of a challenge to find also my daughters team finished 1st overall but was vary disappointed in the quality of metals they were given to work the hard for a cheap what looks like $ store metal is sad also she received mvp of a game and was only given an equally cheap water bottle

We really like Orilia, so for six years now, we've been...
We really like Orilia, so for six years now, we've been trying to come, even if only for a few days. We also like Kincardine and Sauble Beach, but they're far away, while Orilia is close. We love the parks, the beaches, and the town itself—it's beautiful and cozy.

We were locked out of the room for 3 hours before being able...
We were locked out of the room for 3 hours before being able to go inside. Imagine if we had brought infants or children. We were unable to actually enjoy one whole night at this booking as we spent it in the car waiting … and the only answer was “you’ll just have to wait .. sorry for the inconvenience” no refund for the night, no pay back.. just a mere inconvenience to these people.

This property is not in Shanty Bay, it’s in horseshoe which is 20 minutes west of Orillia.
The bed was extremely ridiculously high, above my waist and it was very difficult to get on the bed at all.
The pool didn’t open until noon!!! On a beautiful sunny Saturday and Sunday. Also closed at 8 pm. Pool hours should be noted in the listing.

Great staff who understood our needs and compensated us for an amenity that was supposed to be included in our room but was not; Convenient location; Easy travel to Orillia where we had lots of choices for eating.
If you really want windows/doors that can open (like I do) then this may not be the place for you. With all that fresh air it was a real disappointment that we didn't have access to it unless we sat out on the balcony.

There are many places to visit in Barrie: the lake, many hiking and walking trails throughout the city. Access is easy to get to with a car. The Georgian Mall is very clean and spacious to shop or browse.

Orillia is a quirky little town on Lake Couchiching, a couple of hours north of Toronto. Famous for the Mariposa Folk Festival, song-writer Gordon Lightfoot and humourist Stephen Leacock, the town centre is walkable, with parks, trails and some nice little cafes and independent shops.
