It was our second time at The Cloud and an excellent stay. We spent our Christmas holidays there, and we had assistance even during the holiday, everything was perfect, from the free coffee available in the room, to the prompt response when the hot water was not working. We appreciate the cleanliness, the fact that you have everything you would need in an apartment, quiet neighbourhood, but well connected to the city centre. We are looking forward to coming again!

Excellent and clean apartment, well ventilated and spacious. Neighbourhood was nice and quiet and very family friendly. Very near to tram station and you can easily get in and out of center of Freiburg in 15 mins. Everything was as mentioned in the hotel webpage, no surprises. Would definitely recommend it.

The location of the hotel is excellent—nearby there are public transport stops, restaurants, a pharmacy, and a grocery store. It is 5–10 minutes (by public transport) from the city center and the central train station. There is also a wonderful children’s playground right in front of the hotel! The staff were extremely kind and helpful. We really liked Freiburg, and our stay at the hotel contributed to that experience. We would definitely return again! Thank you!

The cathedral and square around it are superb.
The cathedral and square around it are superb. A funicular railway to excellent restaurant Schlossberg. A nice theatre where I saw a good opera production. Unfortunately it was incredibly hot when I was there. A day to zee its sights was probably enough. If I had known the places near I would have stayed near it and gone to it for the day.Titisee lake resort is very nice.

This is a very good base for exploring the region, especially with the free bus and rail pass. The buses are regular and punctual, and connect with the main railway line at the next village up, Denzlingen. The village itself is really beautiful and, although there are lots of hotels, has kept its character. I recommend visiting the local wine cooperative. The local red wine in particular is quite unlike the generic stuff we are usually offered in the UK and well worth trying and bringing some home.

There are so many things to do in Frieburg!
There are so many things to do in Frieburg! We really loved the mini canals (Bachle) and the market around the cathedral. The beer gardens we visited were awesome and there are more to explore. I think I could easily spend an entire week in Frieburg and still want more.

We really enjoyed our three nights in Freiburg.
We really enjoyed our three nights in Freiburg. The old town is very charming with countless shops and dining options. It is a real vibrant town and not just a tourist destination. The morning market in the cathedral plaza is wonderful and the multiple festive beer gardens were delightful. The Augustiner museum was very well presented and had many fascinating exhibits.
