This DoubleTree by Hilton is set a 7-minute walk from Edinburgh Airport. It features a sauna, a gym and a fine restaurant. Almost everything was perfect. It was so quiet and the blackout curtains were excellent. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was just as I like it. The breakfast was good; lots of choice, although the coffee from the machine wasn't hot enough. If I could complain about anything at all, it would be that the hairdryer cable wasn't long enough for the mirror outside the bathroom door. I couldn't find the shuttle bus and instead of searching up and down the airport, I decided to walk. No big deal; it wasn't far and certainly not the hotel's fault. The airport is poorly signposted.

Set in a Victorian mansion in 55 acres of grounds, Norton House features a luxury spa, award-winning restaurant and boutique rooms with free internet. The spa was very good. It allowed for a relaxing time. Allowing specific children times afforded one the ability to abstain or join during a slightly more raucous period. Overall it was very pleasant.

The Keep at Craigiehall is located in Edinburgh, just 3.8 miles from Edinburgh Zoo and 4.5 miles from Forth Bridge. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. This was such a beautiful spot in the countryside very close to the park and ride into Edinburgh (park free all day). The house is well-appointed and very spacious and clean. It is very close to the airport but didn’t even notice the planes during the night. This was the best shower we had over our three week stay 😊We didn’t want to leave!
