Our stay at Dimora di Dante was truly exceptional. The host was incredibly caring, kind, patient, and attentive — it was clear from the very beginning that they genuinely enjoy making guests feel at home. The room was immaculately clean and thoughtfully equipped, with every detail carefully considered to ensure comfort. It felt like a true home away from home.
Breakfast was a daily highlight — each morning offered something fresh, homemade, and different, showing the same level of care and love that went into the rest of our stay. The cleanliness was absolutely impeccable, and everything was maintained to the highest standard.
We also really enjoyed the pool area, which was clean, quiet, and well-maintained, with plenty of umbrellas and sunbeds to relax comfortably.
We’re so grateful for the warm hospitality and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful, heartfelt experience in Sicily!
We travelled with a small dog and he too was welcomed with open arms.

It is like visiting your friends family for a weekend of food, conversation and chilling around at the pool. Or have the luxury of just relaxing undisturbed on your own with grade AAA+ service taking care of you. Little did I know that this was actually part on an olive farm with very pure and authentically tasty olive oil. The room was well kept, clean, fully functioning and a certain charme to it (you’ll see what I mean). Honestly, it‘s great. Claudia’s and Danielle’s Family are very warm hearted people and you won’t regret staying there. Be a friend, get some friends :) Did I mention that they cook (home grown ingredients) and make the drinks themselves?
Peace and quite location with Agrigento, the Sea and Valley of Temples in 20 minutes or less by car (was actually quite enjoyable drive :))

Casa Cristina saved us after our flight was redirected from Catania to Comiso. We arrived early hours of the morning and our lovely host collected us from the airport for a small fee and took us back to the apartment. Although our stay was short it was exactly what was needed - clean and comfortable.
Thank you also to the travel advice given to us by the host to get a bus back to our original airport. Excellent supportive help in a country we were not familiar with!
Highly recommend Casa Cristina

I have really enjoyed the tranquility, cleanness and the home made food of this boutique hotel.
I felt home.
Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying evenings watching the Sicilian sunset sitted at the garden terrace, it was soo nice.

We have no words to describe how incredibly kind and helpful Marco was to us. The place was clean and breakfast was excellent, especially coffee. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will come again if we have chance.

Very nice hotel running by son and father - also motorbikers, which was nice. The bar opened to late hours, so we could drink good liquids after great days on the road and sites and before sleeping. The breakfast fine and okey. Calm localization, secured parking place.
Very nice owners.

We experienced a wonderful week at the Artemisia Resort. We had two nicely decorated rooms. Perfect for my daughter, my two granddaughters and myself. We enjoyed the excellent breakfast buffet with natural food, freshly presses red orange juice and a variety Sicilian cakes. For the kids it was a great opportunity to consume the freshly prepared fried eggs. The Artemisia Resort also keeps a eye on the ecological aspects including the selection of natural food produce nearby and takes care of a large beautiful garden.
Unfortunaterly we could not enjoy the large swimming pool - the weather was not challenging enough.
The always friendly and experienced staff members also recommended us excellant restaurants for dinner, only a few kilometers away for the resort.
Ragusa is also a perfect location for experiencing the south-west part of Sicily.
Many many thanks for everything. We will not forget these marvellous days.

Comiso has no public transport and Uber does not work here.
Comiso has no public transport and Uber does not work here. The only way to get around is to get a taxi or rent a car. the town is a little old and run down but has its charm. Most places are closed in the afternoon 1-5. They open in the morning and evening. There is a lovely cafe called The Meet Cafe-the staff are super friendly and helpful. They heled us find our way around the town, would have arranged a transfer to airport to get a rental car and helped us with the language, amazing staff!. Disio is a fantastic restaurant in the town for some authentic sicilian food. Service was great too.

The town of Chiaramonte was really quiet with nothing going on during the day. There were a couple of museums and churches but othewise nothing there. We just used the area for a base as we were attending a wedding nearby, but it's a good base to visit Ragusa, Modica and Notte in the area -

I enjoyed the welcoming spirit, beautiful sea view, purring cats who come for a TLC here and there if you let them and certainly the great strategic placing, convenient if you want to visit Pantalica, Ragusa Ibla or Noto. Beautiful scenery, peace of the place, nearby sea, natural reserve, eucalyptus forrest, all that is something you don´t find all at once. I prepare the food myself, therefore cannot tell much about the restaurants, but would you go there if there is plenty of organic goodies grown right next to your terrace? :) LOVED IT

Interesting place, especially Ibla since it has a lot of character. Old houses, various architectural features. its a good location for avid photographers. both sections of ragusa are hilly and not so good for elder people to run around. tried going down from Ragusa Superiore but stopped half way as the prospect of going all the way down and then up to Iblea, was daunting. urban transport is very far in between (about an hourly frequency). The drivers and persons we talked to were extremely gentle and very helpful. the backdrops for eating food are very beautiful such as the main squares with the cathedrals/duomo in the background. did not stay in towns for much time but i am sure there are some very important historical sites we missed. noticed a lot of places for sale in Ragusa Superiore. hope this does not bode badly for the place.

Silence of countryside - although one definitely needs a car, the ~20 minute journey to get close to the city centre is relaxing and one can enjoy nice countryside.
It's a perfect balance between staying in a quiet environment and within reach to amenities.

Room and terrace.
Room and terrace. Very good and key to allow us direct access. People very pleasant and helpful. Misrepresented concept of restaurant, and bar It seemed they weren’t interested in offering an evening meal because there was not enough people. When we arrived there was none available as it was his wife’s birthday. The second evening he was surprised that we expected a meal but finally produced cold cuts, salad etc and no cooked dishes. The third night we gave up. Obviously they were not interested in cooking. Hardly a restaurant or even evening meal.

This town is simply amazing. We loved our time here. It is quaint and historic and you feel like you are stepping back in time. I'm so glad we added a night to go experience it. If you get a chance there is a wonderful cooking class nearby called Le Chiuse di Guardagna. Andreina was amazing teaching us all the ways to cook Sicilian just like her Nonna!

If you want to experience something different than Sicilian...
If you want to experience something different than Sicilian tourist traps, then check it out. The small village where everyone knows each other.
Don't expect luxury or big offers at restaurants. If it's windy, it blows here like hell. But if it's nice weather, it feels like a place where time has stopped.
