the location is excellent. We came to Ragusa for the the marathon and the rooms are a stones throw away from the start, but just outside of the potentially noisy area.. also very accessible parking. We had some challenges [completely unrelated to the accommodation] which we really needed some help with. Ludovico was so kind and helpful, way beyond the call of duty, and we are eternally grateful. we hope to be back again next year!

With its hilly terrain and old charm buildings Ragusa Ibla is a must visit! We were lucky to stay the weekend of the feast of the Patron Saint San Giovanni. The whole place was buzzing with feast activities, fireworks and a huge array of night market stalls all weekend. Highly recommend visiting Ragusa!

Interesting place, especially Ibla since it has a lot of character. Old houses, various architectural features. its a good location for avid photographers. both sections of ragusa are hilly and not so good for elder people to run around. tried going down from Ragusa Superiore but stopped half way as the prospect of going all the way down and then up to Iblea, was daunting. urban transport is very far in between (about an hourly frequency). The drivers and persons we talked to were extremely gentle and very helpful. the backdrops for eating food are very beautiful such as the main squares with the cathedrals/duomo in the background. did not stay in towns for much time but i am sure there are some very important historical sites we missed. noticed a lot of places for sale in Ragusa Superiore. hope this does not bode badly for the place.

This town is simply amazing. We loved our time here. It is quaint and historic and you feel like you are stepping back in time. I'm so glad we added a night to go experience it. If you get a chance there is a wonderful cooking class nearby called Le Chiuse di Guardagna. Andreina was amazing teaching us all the ways to cook Sicilian just like her Nonna!

A beautiful city to explore.

A beautiful city to explore. It's also easy to get to other towns, cities ans beach from there as the public transport is very good. And the tourism office in Ragusa Superiore is excellent, providing you with loads of info.

You are with-in a short short drive to all the historic towns the longest drive would be an hour at best but well worth the touring as the sights are beautiful and the people friendly. Ragusa, has a wonderful market, the old town is beautiful and the new city has everything you need.

Ragusa, and Pura Vida Iblea, was the highlight of our trip to Sicily. Ragusa is wonderful and historic - and I suggest that you definitely should stay in Ragusa Iblea not Ragusa Superior. For fans of Inspector Montalbano, its the place to base yourself! Parking was unbelievably easy for such a historic town. We loved every second of our 3 nights in town, and every night ate in one of the restraunts which has been recommended by the hosts. The food in town was brilliant.

Wow what can I say about the view. Booked this well over a year in advance and the first Sicily accomodation of a 3 week trip. When I walked in to that view I burst into tears. It was even better than I had hoped. Handy location as the view over Ibla but also not far from the stairs down to explore Ibla. Gianna was a lovely host. So flexible allowing for an earlier check in and a later check out. Great facilities with a view even from the shower! Highly highly recommend.

Everything was perfect! Location, staff, room and breakfast were all wonderful! The best place we stayed in Sicily by a long way. Very interesting old building that has been modernised in a very tasteful way to keep the character of the building. Bfast was amazing! Thanks so much would highly recommend and would certainly return if we head back to lovely Ragusa!

The hotel has an amazing view of Ragusa's Duomo and part of the city. Actually we also had this view from the balcony of our bedroom . Wonderful terrace overlooking the hights of Ibla. The hotel was very clean and Nanni helped us in everything we needed. I trully recommend it

Everything! It’s an apartment with all its amenities, but feels like a hotel. The building is beautifully renovated - all modern, great beds and super location. The view from the terrace (we stayed in the 2 bed apartment) might be the best of the Ragusa Ibla (see photos)
