The gentlemen at the reception were articulate, humorous and knowledgeable men, exuded great energy and were wonderful hosts. The location was fantastic as the hotel was 600m from cable car entrance and it was easy for us to do excursions . The included breakfast was great and the bar served us drinks with complementary chips. We also enjoyed dinner at a nearby restaurant at a special discount so it was a great choice for us. The spa was really relaxing for us after the long excursion.

The place has a very nice feeling - you can feel the 100 years old luxury perserved with care and respect. The architecture aside, the staff was very friendly, had very good english - and we loved every dish serves that evening : from the carbonara our kids had to the steak and salmon. A great place to stay if you want to enjoy a great day on Etna!

Everything was great. The staff was amazing. First and foremost: clearly dog lovers, they really liked my Labrador, which felt very welcoming. Lots of staff who spoke English. Very cozy room. Bathroom was 9,5/10. Just a little mold under the silicone, but nothing too major. Their food, both breakfast and restaurant is sublime. They use only local artisanal ingredients and products. I highly recommend their house pizza with pistachio cream base. They have a sort of bakery/bar style ordering system where you can buy sandwiches, croissants, drinks, pastries, ... to take with you. Very handy, for long hikes. Location is perfect for starting your hike up the mountain. Souvenir shops, excursion providers and an ATM are all within 5min walking distance at most. There's also private parking behind an operated gate, good for about 20-25 cars. Absolutely loved this place.

I made straight for the Rifugio Sapienza hotel there right...

I made straight for the Rifugio Sapienza hotel there right next to the Cable car to Mount Etna. I was glad I did it, avoided an early morning drive up. But the hotel was not a place to get some sleep... Was a pretty LOUD and full of mountain bikers who stayed up late and got up early and were LOUD! :)

The apartment is very well equipped and is located close to the road leading to Etna, the lower station of the cable car is about a 35-minute drive away. The problems that occurred (wifi outage and power outage) were resolved immediately by the owner Toni.

Very nice apartment. Clean and well equipped. Great communication with the host – even though she wasn't present, she was always reachable by phone. Perfect starting point for trips to Etna, Taormina, and the surrounding area.

Location was great to do the Etna Parkrun....only 30 mins walk up a hill. Fantastic restaurants in the town. Staff at the hotel were lovely. They also had parking available and a great breakfast.

Fabulous boutique hotel, our room had a terrace and a view of Etna erupting at night!! The room was quite large and was lovely. The staff were great, one host in particular was really excellent, he made us feel very welcome and was really helpful. The hotel was 5-10 minute walk into Nicolosi and about 10 minute uphill walk to the start of Etna parkrun. Great location for Etna & other sightseeing. Free parking outside.

A wonderful place to stay if you are in the area of the Etna. This place had fairytales vibes and the people from the hotel were really friendly. You can also have diner in the restaurant and the food is good.

The apartment was really comfortable with a cool retro 60s Italian style. It is very close to all the restaurants, so in a very convenient location and perfect for visiting Etna. The owner was very helpful and even gave me a lift up to Etna, which was very kind as I hadn't hired a car.
