I had a fantastic stay, lovely clean place! The large room was perfectly set up with plenty of space and thoughtful touches like extra blankets, the lady was incredibly accommodating, guiding me when I was lost and communication was excellent throughout. I would definitely recommend for anyone traveling on short notice and need an excellent mattress,

The host was helpful and flexible about the time of our arrival. The location is good if you have an early flight (10 min walk to the airport). We could use the kitchen downstairs.

A good starting point for a trip to Sicily but so many gorgeous areas to visit especially if you are flying into Catania airport . But the hotel we picked gave us a great relaxed experience before we travelled further. Loved our trip to Mount Etna . They picked us up from the hotel and our tour guide was amazing. She was fantastic at her job .

Its a nice calm area close to Catania.
Its a nice calm area close to Catania. Its much cleaner than other towns or Catania itself. Usually the garbage is lying around everywhere next to the roads, highways etc. but in Misterbianco it seemed a bit better.
When you drive towards Misterbianco you would think that it will be as trashy as the surrounding areas but thank god no. There are couple of pizzerias and bars at a very affordable price.

This is a small town on the way to Mt Etna.
This is a small town on the way to Mt Etna. We stayed here and were pleasantly surprised to find so many culinary gems!!! There are at least two exquisite cafes serving Sicilian delights that were top notch. There is also a fantastic sushi restaurant and seafood restaurant. We had local friends as a guide so they really showed us around to the best kept secrets of the area!! We can’t wait to visit again!

Host were lovely, location wasn't great for finding something to eat. Room was located in basement, lacking some modern facilities, cooker used bottled gas. Room was large and you could see that it could sleep 4 or more people, with at least 3 sofa beds in place as well as the double bed.

Aci Castello is fine for a brief few-hour visit to see the historic castle, but I highly recommend staying elsewhere. The area feels quite isolated and far from everything you might need. We found the local amenities severely lacking, with a very limited number of cafes and shops. If you enjoy walking, you will likely be disappointed; there is zero nature, and the main promenade is heavily congested with traffic rather than being pedestrian-friendly. Overall, it lacks a comfortable, livable atmosphere, and there just isn't much to do or see beyond the main landmark

Breakfasts at Pasticceria Dolce Trinacria were amazing, the Coop at the Parco Commerciale Le Zagare is very large with in-store bakery. Lidl's also pretty good. Walking is OK, but one or two roads don't have paths, so care is needed.

Lovely and iconic location, well known for the novel: "I Malavoglia" written by Giovanni Verga.
It is an amazing fisherman location with a lovely panorama.
From here we can visit Etna's volcano, Taormina, Catania and the valley of the temples (close to Agrigento)

Beautiful city center, lovely buildings, loads of places to eat out.
Bellini park was a great place to go to with children as there where swings and other possibilities for the children to play.
There were only three public beaches we visited two of them. The sand was full of rabish and the sea as well. Spiagga publika no 3 was better than number one.
Getting there with bus D was a disaster. The bus was always late sometimes didn't arrive at all. When it did arrive it soon got too full to pick up more people and continued going. It was very frustrating. For this the public beach number three was better although it was further from the city center.

Beautiful Sicilian town experience.
Beautiful Sicilian town experience. Views of Mount Etna and the lowlands are great from the city. The classic churches are not to be missed. The parking situation on the street is scary and the roads need improvement. Not a place to have an SUV.
