UNAHOTELS Capotaormina is perched on a rock below Taormina and is surrounded by the sea, offering an amazing view of the fantastic Giardini Naxos Bay and Isola Bella Island. The hotel is sensational with an exclusive location, our room had a view of Isola Bella, but the views from the other side were spectacular as well. Services (the breakfast, dinings, terrace in the evening, beaches) were without an exception fantastic, the staff friendly, special thanks to the waitress in the pebble beach bar, she was so kind. No problem with parking. I travel a lot and have never had such an amazing stay in a hotel. Totally recommend!

Hotel Villino Gallodoro offers accommodation in Taormina. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. A terrace or balcony are featured in certain rooms. A flat-screen TV with satellite channels is offered. So I must tell that we stayed here in absolutely off-season and I am not sure how it is in peak times, but this was definitely the best place we stayed during our Sicily trip. I think we even got an upgrade, because we had at least partial sea view from the balcony of the room, which was great. But the sea view from the breakfast terrace is just amazing - as well as the breakfast itself, we got real food compared to the usual sweets-only breakfasts in the area. Important to mention for off-season travels that the A/C in the room was able to properly warm up the room, it's not always the case. The hotel also has a restaurant onsite which is open in winter season too.

Sensational views over the sea, Mt Etna & along the coastline. Charming centre with lots of shops, restaurants, bars & cafes. We were there in late May and it was already busy with international visitors. The amphitheatre was impressive with tremendous views. One of the highlights for us was the Taomina opera. It was exceptional and great fun.
Overall a pretty place. It is 89 stairs from the car to get down to the apartment. Do not bring heavy bags. There is only a view of the sea of you stand up to look out a window. The beds are very very old and saggy. Very hard to sleep on. Grey location.
Taormina will charm you. It has charmed me for 40 years. For a one week stay, there is plenty to do, and much to find. There are excursions you can look into the experience more of the "orientale" coast (what they call the east coast of Sicily). Walking to every site in town is recommended, and if you drive here, I cannot recommend enough to park in the lots that are lower, they have reasonably priced shuttle buses. The cost of this town is why I keep coming back, it is on par with the Riveria and the prices are excellent. I recommend the Community Park and the Greek Theater if you are only there for the day.
Very beautiful little hilltop town. Worth a visit but for me it was over commercialised with inflated prices and has been spoiled by tourism, although there are beautiful churches and views. The greek theatre is lovely LOTS of tourists, but if you look it's still possible to find local bars and people. Wouldn't like to be there in the high season. Easy to get around walking , buses available up to Castelmona and down to the beach area.
I loved the greek theatre and having a stroll around the narrow streets of Taormina. It has nice spots, and if you go exploring around Taormina you will find gems. However, I think that Taormina itself is a bit overrated, since we were missing basic things. For example it was too touristic, in a bad way: we couldn't find any nice restaurant to eat , it was full of tourist traps with trashy food (although we were trying to find decent restaurants through reviews- in vain). Also it was too crowded and I found it quite pretentious full of luxurious branded shops, etc. I was missing out the authentic Italian experience. overdressed people everywhere etc. One thing I loved, arancini! the best arancini was there
Went in May, much busier than we expected, very pretty town, but very busy with day trippers. Large choice of restaurants, easy to find good Sicilian food. Trip the Mount Etna Volcano was the highlight. Used train to get about, Siracusa well worth a visit. Arrived by train from Rome, which was another highlight
I can not recommend Hotel Villa Carlotta more highly! It is a truly beautiful hotel, in the perfect location for exploring Taormina and the beaches. Our room was comfortable with a touch of luxury and the pool and garden areas were great too. Breakfast was fantastic and the views hard to beat! The hotel staff were some of the most welcoming and helpful I have ever come across so a big thank you to them for making our stay so special! We are already planning our next trip!
Villa Schuler is a perfect hotel in the heart of Taormina. It is a boutique feeling hotel with fantastic views out to sea and a lovely, peaceful and well maintained garden to the rear. The staff are all very friendly and attentive with excellent service and help when required. There are several options for booking beach access which they arrange with no issues. We loved staying there and was a real treat.
Fabulous hotel near the sea between Taormina and Naxos! Our rom was much bigger than we expected and had a large balcony. The pool was also big and had great views. The breakfast was great. Free outdoor parking available near the property. It’s about 20 mins’ walk steep uphill to the centre of Taormina but the views on the way are beautiful. Would definitely recommend this place!
It was the perfect end of out sicily road trip. beautiful small hotel on the perfect location, incredible nice stuff and manager, delicious breakfast and great view from the terrace. as always, the most important thing are the people around you, and this is what makes the heart of this hotel- we felt welcome and “at home” and will definitely come again! thank you villa taormina!
Taormina
The location of the property is amazing, in the centre of Taormina close to all shops and restaurants, set in a quite area with only a few steps from the Corso. The hotel does not provide breakfast but that was a positive thing for us as we wanted to try the different caffeterias/bars. The rooms are with bathrooms and AC units.
The view from this gorgeous boutique hotel has to be the best in Taormina. Almost at the top of the rock, near to Castelmola, pick the right room and you will have the view of a lifetime. The hotel is beautifully decorated in rustic boutique style and the staff are helpful and welcoming. The free shuttle bus was great.
Highly recommended hotel in the heart of Taormina. I can honestly say this was by far the best hotel I've ever been when travelling abroad. Friendly staff, very clean spacious rooms, breakfast was great and we got so much assistance from the staff there when we needed guidelines on how to get to Etna.
Very clean, comfortable updated hotel room near (just a short walk down stairs) the heart of Taormina, but enough “above” the Main Street so it is quiet and peaceful. Bed was large pretty comfortable and had 4 pillows. Very nice Sicilian breakfast on the rooftop with beautiful views.
Taormina

Great little hotel in a classic style. Friendly owners and staff. Excellent breakfast coffee. Perfect location in the centre of Taormina.
great location right on the beach. the hotel offers a free shuttle into the city of Taormina which made it very convenient.
Great breakfast on a beautiful terrace. Room and hotel spaces very nice. Good location for lower Taormina.
