The resort was modern, clean, light and airy in the middle of the countryside near Noto. The staff was amazing , really going out of their way to help. We tried to have a spa session but the timing did not work out as it was only available late pm after we already checked out, we should have stayed an extra day! The highlight was the restaurant. Kudos to the chef for his delicate, delicious and well presented food. Plentiful too and very reasonable prices We ate there both nights. Fantastic

Modica is a great location with lots to see.

Modica is a great location with lots to see. This year there were noticably fewer tourists - great for me but not so good for Modica. It is a shame that the bar/gardens near St George Cathedral is not open more!

From Modica you can visit a lot of beautiful places: Noto,...

From Modica you can visit a lot of beautiful places: Noto, Ragusa, Scicli, just to mention the most important, and hike in many different Natural Oasis, such as Vendicari, Cassibile, etc. A car is absolutely needed. Food is amazing, try the "Macco di fave". My suggestion is to stay not only one day but spend some time in the town, wonder around, talk to people (always kind) and discover new spots. Modica Alta is worth to visit.

Modica is nice but not quite what I was expecting.

Modica is nice but not quite what I was expecting. No Centro Storica as such , the Main Street is lacking in the typical feel of most Italian towns in my opinion and a distinct lack of the little piazzas which make much of the charm of most towns. The side streets are more interesting but only just. The Osteria sensa perduti is a nice place for a meal and the Duomo bar is also nice

Beautiful quaint town - we stayed two nights which was great. More time if we wanted to relax more but otherwise good. Radici restaurant was excellent! We went on the sightseeing train and walked around, tasted chocolate and saw the two main churches

Modica is a very old town on South-east Sicily, quite important for her history and baroque architecture. Getting around is easy, if you like to walk a lot! There are a lot of stairs and climbings to get to Modica Alta, but it's worth. Food is very good and there are still restaurants with good prices. From Modica you can reach the beach in half an hour by car, and you can also visit several good natural spots (like Riserva Naturale di Pantalica, Cavagrande, Vendicari) just driving one/two hours. Good craftwork as well, especially ceramics.

Modica is a must-see if you are visiting the south of Sicily...

Modica is a must-see if you are visiting the south of Sicily. The rich architecture majestically adorns the hills that surround the centre. The quaint streets and stunning views are simply idyllic. We were lucky enough to visit during the Easter festivities which really highlight the spirit of Sicilian culture. You are spoilt for choice with restaurants - wherever you go the food is exquisite and the service is warm and friendly.

Staff were all very helpful and always service with a smile. Hotel is very easy to find, has a private garage, and quite a good place to start your day for exploring Modica. There is also a bus stop right next to the hotel which is very convenient. We took it to go to Modica Alta. It passes every hour. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Good value for money. Breakfast was very fresh each morning. Thank you for making our stay exceptional!

It’s a magical place - wonderful host, complete tranquility and excellent food. A very personal, warm welcome. We spent five very happy days there, using it as a basis to tour the SW of Sicily. All major sights easily reachable and a tranquil haven to come back to after a day of exploring. Highly recommended.

Modica Palace Hotel was under renovation and we were transferred to Modica Boutique hotel. The hotel is exceptional, the room was really spacious and had a small terrace too. Breakfast was good and one of the best highlights for us was the underground parking, which was really convenient.
