This was no question the best hotel I stayed at in Thailand and one out of a few places that are truly 10 out of 10. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The guy working at reception was extraordinarily nice and helpful. The hotel is located in beautiful nature and you can rent a bike for free to explore the area

The staff at Little Hostel was so helpful about offering tips and advice about traveling to and away from Huay Xai. They even helped me book all the tickets needed to cross the border from Laos to Thailand. Another bonus is that the bed was really comfortable and sturdy. Even though I was on the top bunk, I did not worry about bothering the person in the lower bunk when I climbed the ladder or moved because the bed frame was solid.

An excellent stay at this friendly guesthouse — I absolutely loved it. It’s a family-run business, and the owner personally takes care of the guests, treating everyone like family. She’s super friendly and helpful. She can arrange all kinds of transportation, and even when I was late, she did her best to help. The breakfast is excellent, and she also offers takeaway food for the bus or slow boat, as well as SIM cards at a good price. Kids are always welcome, and the children around are very friendly too. The guesthouse has been around for more than 20 years, and you can really feel the traditional Lao style — with beautiful, solid wooden furniture throughout the guesthouse and restaurant. It gives a warm and authentic charm to the place. The rooms are decorated in the same traditional style. The bathroom shows a bit of age, but everything is well-maintained and clean. I had an excellent shower during my stay. I also loved the Lao coffee served at the guesthouse — strong, aromatic, and full of flavor. Loved the place, and I’ll definitely be back!
